I have been reading on here that while doing BG's people have the tendency to put the blame on ya if things aren't going your factions way. I've been cool as far as taking heat from people while leveling, just laugh it off or turn off chat for a bit. I jumped in pvp for the grind and I finally got enough for my Season 2 Gavel and all I can say is, WTF is up with these ppl!!!??? I mean, I cant seem to do anything right with them. When we win a BG, its "Yeah, great job guys...except for the lazy botter" and when we lose, all hell breaks loose..... "Stupid boxer, if we had some actually ppl instead of a botter, this shit would be so damn easy!!" The mentality of everone is just crazy. In AB, I defend the gold mine with my 5 Shamans through a couple of small waves of Horde and they still yell at me saying, "WTF, why dont you actually do something and help us win since you like being so OP!!????"

I'm not even looking forward to WSG.......

I guess I'm just hoping the rest of the gear can be gathered quicker so I can get the hell out of there!

I have no PVP experience with boxing but I'm sorry to hear that the harrasement doesn't get any better in PVP :( Some people are just idiots, gotta ignore em I guess..

Keep going, you will find its really cool when they are supportive. I have kind of come to this resolution: if the people in the BG are cheering me on- it already rocks. I just have to keep them from following me around too much (wsg, AV its fine). If the people in the BG start flaming/QQ, then I have fun messing with them and rocking their emo world. Gets to be pretty fun either way. And the great thing is: the scoreboard at the end of the BG. >)

BG chat sucks even for non botters.

They've chosen to single you out as you are an easy target. There is alway someone they will target.

My advice - don't even bother to respond. Get on and play and get enjoyment for yourself. Defend or attack what the heck you want, and be the judge of your own play.

Just because they are blaming things on you doesn't mean that it's true.

Now that my PvP BG team is pretty well geared (Boomkin + 4 ele shammies), I have pretty good success.

In AV I win about 70% of the time and no one really comments on my whether we win or lose (with 8 groups it's hard to be THE difference maker in a noticable way).

I think EOTS is now my favorite - I win about 70% of those as well and I really make a huge difference there - constant offense going for the least defended enemy node is the way to go. Here though, if we win people say nice things, but if we lose it is always my fault. Winning more than losing means I get a lot more positive than negative attention.

AB is tough - I only win about 30% of those games - just that one extra node from EOTS (5 instead of 4) makes it much tougher on me for some reason. Again, if we win it is because of the leet boxer, but if we lose lots of people dis on me.

WSG - have tried it twice - epic fail both times. I just hate to suck that bad and cause the other 5 people an insta-lose, so I've sworn off it (until I get another 4 accounts and can solo it, lol).

When I started my percentages were worse in EOTS and AB - worse gear and lack of experience. Hang in there, it gets better.

My shammies are still wearing blues, as they only dinged 3 days ago.

I was in an av yesterday, where someone started bitching in /bg that I was useless, and my gear was too shit to be there. A few others joined in, with the odd sensible person pointing out I still had a near 50% lb crit rate, so to shut the hell up.

I ended up definding the frostwolf base with a few people. and eventually the rest of the idiots wiped on balinda ( god knows how ). I then once more get blamed in /bg chat for causing it because my gear wasent good enough to dps.

Pointed out I was at frostwolf the whole time, actually helping. The guy was laughed out of the bg by everyone else.

I played nothing but BGs for about 6 months before I started MBing, I got to know the community on my Battleserver pretty well. My impression? 75% are self-important puffed up egotistical assholes who will bitch about EVERYTHING, because they can. I too started turning the chat off, as it's worthless, and all it is is a couple of idiots trying to outpeen each other, or criticizing everyone for not playing perfectly.

Teamwork? Not happening. If you ask for help to cap or do anything involving fighting, you are abused and called a noob and accused of slowing down their honor/per hour ratio, and they can't have THAT. Say "take back the mill", and everyone runs to the mine. Tell some people to cap MT, and they all run off to the center. It's just idiocy, for most of the matches. Sometimes you run into a good group, where everyone has fun, even if you lose, but they're far and few between.

That's why I don't PvP at the moment. I'm just over it. The sheer numbers of assholes just ruin it for me. I just snapped, I had a really bad day - went into WSG, tried to *gasp* talk to everyone before the gate opened, and maybe get a buff, and was ignored. Rolled. THEN everyone starts talking, and it's all about how everyone is gay and sucks.

Okayfine.

Went to EotS, which I personally love. Was defending the flag, and got jumped by two Horde druids, so I vanished. (Was on my rogue). Some complete and utter asshole priest starts filling the chat with "OMG you don't vanish in a fight that's cheating nobody heal that rogue he's cheating don't help him let him die". Seriously, like 3 minutes of that, he was FOLLOWING me telling everyone not to help me. I AFKed the only time in my PvP career, after telling him to blow me - another first for me, being nasty in chat.

Tried AB, was the usual "hurry up and lose" BS from the Alliance pussies I have to play with. "ZOMG it's a premade, let them win!". No, coward, it's a couple of players from the same server. The usual chat filled with insults and attacks and criticism and bullshit.

Sigh.

Went into AV...started the run...and just lost any and all interest in PvP. I finished the match, kinda sorta fighting...and left the battle at the end, and I havent been in a BG since. That was...4 months ago?

I've been telling myself, when I get the PvP bug again, and I will, I'm rolling Horde, and I'm going to enjoy killing each and every Alliance I run into. I have a few names memorized that I'm going to gank up and down the map mercilously when I get there, if they're still playing.

I've got bad news for you - I'm horde and we've got those idiots too.

That's why I stress being the judge of your own performance.

When these people are paying for my accounts that's the point they might actually be able to dictate how I play, but until that time I'll glean fun wherever I can.

My policy - It's a battleground. You fight, no matter how hard it is. I've had the AB's where people tell you to lose, but until the enemy has 2000 resources I'm going to be fighting.

(and those few occassions where you turn it around against all odds make it worthwhile)

Great statement right there.....

I have a few names memorized that I'm going to gank up and down the map mercilously when I get there, if they're still playing. That is so true. It's like when people start pvping they shut their brains down so it only functions for 10%. It's a known fact that EotS is the worst on this BG for alliance. So really everyone skips it, unless you're really retarded or need marks.

The morons playing this game ruin a lot of fun, often i ignore them, but when i don't, i now tend to piss them off by a discussion or making something funny so they have a laugh and actually might try to be usefull. Pissing 1 retard off, which makes others laugh is a win win situation.

Allready posted on an other topic here, that if you're a known multiboxer with decent gear and a good reputation people will start to tend to be a lot more positive. If you only got some PVE rares then it's very easy to be a target for the morons to blame things on. But if you have full S2 etc, they can see that you know what you're doing and probably wtfpwn them, even if they were with 4 aswell. Just hold on and ignore the craptalk and show them that you're so much better then them ;)
