Well, dang it.

I hope you do go through with your consideration and come out with a new piece of software. I'm a big fan of what you've done, so thank you for all the hard work you've done. <3

May I politely suggest you designate 1.3.2 as the "RC," then? 1.3.3+ are new and don't have much time on them but 1.3.2 has been rock stable for me for a while now. Also, any thought to putting the 1.3.2 codebase out on sourceforge so others can update/fix/add minor features?

Throwing in my thanks for creating this and the time you spent maintaining it. This is the only software i found that I can actually run on my weird computer.

Skarlot,

Let me say thank you for such a well thought out and valuable application. You really took the needs of the community in mind when you put it together and it represents quite an accomplishment that you were able to solve so many issues in such a VERY short dev cycle. I work in a group that is responsible for small, rapidly deployed line of business applications and to even get a prototype built would take longer than your entire time on the Octopus project - let alone be as stable on as many different platforms and be as robust as it is. If you were in the US I'd tell you to send me your resume, and I'd forward it on to the proper individuals. My hat is off to you, and I thank you for the hours of enjoyment you have brought me by enabling me to enjoy multiboxing.

I want to thank Skarlot for his efforts too.

Octopus is what made multiboxing possible for me. It did everything I needed for boxing five chars across two PC's.

After having tried many different pieces of software to make multiboxing work for me. I found that Octopus was perfect for what I need. Thanks for your hard work and a good product!

I would like to ask also if it is possible you shared the source from before the dll hooks you didn't want open sourced.

Gets my thanks too, mainly as Octopus was the only accessible Multi-boxing tool that worked outside of WoW. Any chance of a source code release at some point? So that those with more coding skills than myself have a chance to make it even better. :D

If this is the last of the updates, then I must definitely save this program in a archive so I can use it for a long long time... octopus > all.

Heheh, thanks. I'm responding now since a job looks like its finally comin my way which means more free shit for dual-boxing i supose !

When I'm convinced 1.3.5 is properly bug fixed I may see about releasing the source. But one of the reasons I am doing new projects, is it's gotten out of hand, the code way out grew it's shoes. It's a good project but doesn't really lend itself to much flexibility and I'm going to 10box so I'll be knocking up something a bit more advanced, and quicker/easier to adjust configurations. Also C#/C++ is awful, managed C++ way more suitable.

Thanks Skarlot for Octopus! You've done a fantastic job with it. Wish you well in your new project.

For me, I've been using 1.3.2 for the last month or so without any issues and it's been solid so I've not upgraded to any of the later releases. I figure I'll use it until some Windows Vista patch breaks it and then look around to see what else is available then. Hopefully your new project will be available and will have the same capabilities.

Thanks again!
