Guys,
I got 2 accounts today (1 on me, and 1 on wife - figured that that should be safe enough).
So, I was going to invite myself to 3x trials using those 2 - to get the extra free time -- but, then I remembered what happened last time I had a trial account:
the trial account wont let you go passed 20 and a lot of other restrictions, so after 3 days I add a CD key to the account, effectively upgrading it to a full -- but, the restrictions on the account wasn't lifted until after the trial passed.
Is this still so? Cause I dont want to get stuck at 20 with 3 characters for the 10 day trial...

thanks! I am correct in thinking that it's quite easy to get to 20 with 5 boxing in around 10-20 hours play? (I already know how to configure) - if yes, the above is an issue, if no, it might not be :P
That's odd.
LAst saturday we started a trial and upgraded it almost instant to full.
After a logout and a new login the account was able to trade and mail stuff. Yesterday the char dinged 23, so we went past the lvl 20 limit aswell.

It is probably possible to get to lvl 20 while 5-boxing in 20 hours if you rush, but I know it took me a little longer since I was working on professions and the shaman totem quests are a pain in the ass.

I started playing in December, and a day after I started with a free trial account, I upgraded all the way to TBC, and once I set up subscription info and logged in, I was no longer under any trial restrictions.

Bad, bad, bad idea. You MUST use 5 accounts all in YOUR name. There are numerous threads on this in General, it's a bad idea and the people that run this site do not support it in any way.
Just buy 4 more accounts, if you were planning on using your wife's. Spouses are not allowed to share accounts, and they will be able to tell instantly that one of the accounts in your team is not yours - buh bye account.
And yes, it still works that way, in fact there are more restrictions to trial accounts, due to abuse from spammers and gold sellers. No guild invites, no group invites, etc.., it's worth it to just get all the accounts up and going now. There's still a deal on the Battlechest I think, at some store, it'll save you a few bucks, and the invite a friend thing is totally worth it. Have your wife do the inviting, so her account will be free for quite a while (there's a cap, forget what, I think it's 3 months)

There is no such thing as safe enough unless all accounts are in the same name....This WILL get you banned, please stop using your wifes account, for your safety as much as her accounts ;)
