Im having trouble with my 1 pally 2 mage combo. Everytime I run in, and sor then start melee, but mages have trouble casting since they want to follow me so close :/ I checked in the macros section and didnt see anything that helped me :(

With this setup I would assume you would mainly use AOE. To move the mages back you could set the keybind for backwards to 1 key for the mages and nothing for the pally.

You need a 'break-follow' macro. Hit that key where you want your mages to stop and keep running forward with your pally into battle. I use AutoHotKey, so I have the typical diamond formation, where alt1 will step forward, alt2 will strafe left, alt3 will strafe right, and alt4 will step back. Basically just bind this key to a different movement key per alt. I use F1 as my formation/follow-break.
With AHK, there's a thread around here to use the 'non-automated' way of using this formation by listening for the keypress-down/up event, so it's not a timed formation. The longer I hold the key down, the further apart my group spreads. A tap is usually good enough to just break /follow but keep them close together.
You shouldn't have problems casting unless you're facing the wrong way, which usually means you ran into/past the enemy with your paladin instead of running near him and letting the enemy come to your paladin. For most fights, I don't bother using the F1 formation anymore. Just blast away at point-blank range.
Edit:
Get your mounts as soon as possible. I held off until I was exalted with Stormwind (level 54 or so) so I could have horses for my draenei instead of hippos, and it's MUCH easier to round up a large group of mobs for AoE carnage while on a mount.
