Hey guys! I'm Necro.
Background: I am a programmer by day, WoW-Addict by night. I have a great deal of experience in all aspects of computers: repair, maintenance, visual basic, visual C#, magic (edeveloper -- awful programming language at my full time job), web design, graphic design, yawn, etc.
Before going any further, I just want to say that I have browsed through these forums for hours, and have done my research. Yet, I still have numerous questions that I want to ask. So, please do not flame me for missing a post where a question I ask is referenced. I work full-time, and am very busy.. most of the time. This post will be a constant work in progress, a 'forum' for my current issues as I further develope my dualboxing skills.
2-Box Setup: Dual-melee --- Mutilate Rogue // Fury Warrior
Main: Rogue (Necrowyn)
Box: Warrior (Crank)
Keyclone --- utilize a white list, only allowing like Alt + 1,2,3,4,5, etc. to pass which translate to 1,2,3,4,5 on Crank.
1: follow necro
2: follow necro, target focus' target, bloodrage/zerker rage, intercept
3: bloodthirst
4: whirlwind
5: battleshout
That is basically how I have it setup. My main question/problem atm is that when I use Alt + 1, etc. while having my main Necro focused is that WoW reads my Alt + #'s as just regular #'s.. like 1-2-3-4-5. So, I accidentally pop out of stealth and attack a target when simply trying to get Crank to utilize his keys.
Because Necrowyn doesn't have any Alt + #'s commands, it just ignores the alt. So, I'm not sure how to get it so that WoW will not do anything when I press these commands.. instead of assuming.
Besides that, I would love for any help/input for specific macros that work well with dual-boxing a warrior as an alt. I have read Dogs of War post, and others.. but still am unsure of how to go about utilizing better, more sophisticated macros. When I normally play Crank, I have hotbar addon that has 1 action bar, with Execute, Bloodthirst, WW, TClap, all of which require different stances, so my macros switch tot hat stance if I'm not currently in it. I want to do something similar while 2boxing. Any suggestions from those who have done warriors before?
=) I love the challenge of playing 2 separate melee classes. I was getting pretty good last night (1st night trying it), at lining up mobs, n such. However, that Alt problem si driving me nuts.
All feedback/help/criticism is greatly appreciated!
Thanks for reading
