PVE Multi Boxing Server - US - (Horde Side)

I know Mag has the strongest mb community out there, but it is a PVP server and some people do not like PVP servers. The other thing is that you cannot transfer you toon from PVE to PVP, so people stay on the PVE server. But you can transfer PVE to PVE. So if we can decide what server you want people can have the option of transferring to the new server and bring there toons and money with them. Putting a poll up to see what PVE server people would like. There are a ton of them so i am only going to list Bloodlust battlegroup. They say it is the toughest battle group so people that want to do the PVP side but are on a PVE server they will have some good BG/Arena. If will add other servers if you PM or reply to this forum. This way we can do some 10 man and maybe some 25 man raids.... and some old school 40 man (have my dawn to almost exulted for my key sort of want to use it).


I would like to bump this once a day to stay on the top forums for at least a week. Could i please have the ok from one of the admins.

Would anyone like to be an officer. I would love to have 1 or 2 other people help me out on this. I have some great ideas, but need help setting stuff up. Anastasiya would you like to be an officer? You seem to know how to setup groups for raids. If anyone would like to be one please PM me. We can set some stuff up and try to get this working by the end of this week, then we can start building some teams and hopefully start raiding by the end of August. I think if i can get 2 dedicated boxers to come, i think we will be able to bring more here.

If we go with Vek'nilash i will set up the guild and try to run everything. I'll get a guild bank with 2 solts in it (i should be able to have enough for that i hope). And make a couple bags so people will be able to start with something. This will be a med/casual mb raid guild. My plan will be to raid 2 to 3 nights a week, but the good thing is that sense it will be mb based it could turn into a hardcore raid guild (if you think about it, you only need 2 boxers to do a 10 man, not 10 people). We should set up shop soon so people will have the time to make new toons and/or transfer there toons there. This will mostly be PVE based raiding guild more then a community of mb. All i need is a fellow boxer or 2 to help me set up shop and we can go from there. If we can make a solid guild of at least 3 determined boxers i think more people we come join us. Vek'nilash is a mid populated server, the ah is pretty good.

a few things to think of if we want to do raiding as MBs.

Group make up is important, you can't just Zerg High King Mulgor with 25 DPS. I'll break down some of the fights in raids to give examples of what's needed.

10 Man
2 tanks, 2 Healers, 6 DPS. more healers or hybrid healers to help off heal is a help, but you can't lose too much DPS by doing so.

25 Mans

Gruul's
High King - Gruul Tank, Mage Tank, 2 DPS to tank Shaman, 2 Tanks for Warlock, 1 healer for each tank, and a 2nd or 3rd healer for the Gruul Tank
Gruul - 1 Tank, 1 Off Tank (hateful strikes), 4-5 healers for the tank and off healing Raid.

Mag's
5 Tanks for the Channlers, one will end up tanking Mag's. 5 People to Click Boxes (1 person might be albe to do this with 5 accounts, but who would want to miss all the action?)

TK
Trash - The Trash in TK needs at least 2 mages and 2 Locks for Sheeps and Banish. If anyone has done it with out this i'd really like to know how!
Void Reaver - 2-3 Tanks for VR, 5-7 Healers for the tanks/Raid. This fight has ALOT of movement involved so groups will be running all the time.
Solairin - 1 Tank for Solairian, 1 tank for each Priest that comes out, 1 tank for all the adds. 5-7 Healers for the AoE Damage
Al'ar - 2-4 Tanks for Al'ar (you have to move between 4 differnt points to tank him in phase 1), 5-7 Healers
Kael - Um... let's see if anyone can MB to this point first.... LOL

SSC
Trash - Mages/Locks are helpful here but not Manditory
Hydros - 2 Tanks, 1-2 OT (all need Resist Gear), 5-7 Healers for Raid/Tank Heals
Lurker - 1 Tank, 3 Tanks for Adds, 5-7 Healers for Raid Heals. (You must be able to jump in/out of the water on 5 toons. You still have to kill the adds that Spawn)
Tidewalker - 1 Tank for Tidewalker, 1 Tank for Murlocks. 1 Healer for Water Tombs, 1-2 Healers for Murloc Tank, 5-6 MT Healers
FLK - 4 Tanks for the Boss and his 3 Adds. 7-10 healers (1-3 for each tank)
Leo - 1 MT, 1 Warlock Tank (for demon phase), 5-7 Healers for Tank/Raid Heals. (You need to be able to DPS down your Inner Demon on individual Toons)
Vash - Again. If people can get to this point a whole new strat will be needed.

Mt. Hyjal
Rage - 1 Tank, 5-7 Healers for Raid heals. (you need to move out of Death & Decay about a 30 yard area)
Anetheron - 1 MT, 1 OT for Infernals, 2-3 Healer for OT and 3-4 for MT. (easy to Box, just need to spread out to avoid the Cone Damage)
Kaz'rogal - 1 MT, 5-7 Healers. (another easy fight, just don't run out of mana)
Azgalor - 1 MT, 1 OT, 1-2 healers for OT 3-5 for MT (if you can get here, it's Free T6 LOOTZ!)
Archimonde - This is all about using your Item on each toon to prevent them from Dying during the Fight. Don't Die = Dead Boss

I'll Post strats for BT if a guild actually gets going and get's this far before WotLK is out, and i'm tired of typing now. :D

Any how, from what you can see you need from 2-5 tanks for raids, and 5-10 healers. easiest way i've been able to figure it out is for each boxer to have a group make up something like this (Tank, Healer, DPS, DPS, DPS/Off Heal) On fights where only 1 or 2 tanks are needed having the extra tanks do a secondary roll, Prot Pallies use healing gear, Druids Healing or DPS, Warriors DPS. Some Single class groups will work, or if some boxers happen to roll teams with muliple healers or something, but i think if we treat each group like it's own mini raid, where you heal your own group and then help heal the MT will work best.

Again this is just my inital thoughts on how things would start to look at for setting up this kind of events, and may need little or Lots of changes for strats to work with boxers.

I totally agree with you. We just cannot do a 25 man with 5 pally and 20 sham. But not everyone has the setup of 1 pally 4 sham. First we need to figure out what server we are going on play on. After that we can talk about with setups we need to be a killer raid. Some people will be starting fresh when they come here, and that will be good that way they can roll on teams that will help. For example i have 2 teams; team 1 is 4 sham and team 2 are 3 locks and a priest. Both teams share the same pally. What i can do is mix and match them if it will make the raid better. There is also no rule saying that you have to be a 5 boxer or if you are a 5 boxer then all 5 can go. We can mix it up a little like 1 x 3, 1 x 2 and 1 x 5. Maybe we will befriend some good single boxer tanks, you never know. Sometimes i wouldn't mind single box a tank or something, or even swapping out 1 of my sham for 1 of my locks or something. Everything will have be talked about, i really don't want to do this half fast (people will leave instead of staying). After i get both teams to 70 and some money i was thinking about making another team of mages or priest or whatever will benefit us the most.

I'm Rolling up a new Team on Vek'nilash Horde side, so there will be at least 1 low level group. If more want to come roll with us or Transfer, we can get the ball rolling. Me and Drizzit are going to be there raiding at least 10 man content, so if more show up we can get more 10 and 25 man bosses on farm. will only be 2-3 days of raiding once everyone is leveled up, so it won't take a huge amount of time or dedication but a day or two would be great!

Count me in. While I am not yet willing to transfer my main multibox team from a pvp server to a pve, I am willing to transfer my (used to be main) Tauren warrior tank. He is currently on a PvE server that I never play on anymore, so no problem transfering. He is geared in kara,ZA gear and has the resist gear for SSC. I have main tanked everything up to lurker in SSC. I wont be on until later tonight. If all works out though, i'll gladly transfer my pala,priest, 3mages, and 4 shaman team over.

Well as for play times, we haven't gotten that far yet. Was waiting for more people to actually get on and start leveling, or actually show interest on a more serious note then "yea i'd like to do that" kinda of thing.

So far tho we would raid 1 to 3 days a week, for like 3-4 hours a day. it's on a CST server, so times work run like 8PM-12AM kinda of a deal for the most part, on what ever day that people can dedicate to.

Again tho, need people who are serious about this to actually get on and maybe start leveling. Then we can work out in more detail as to what times/days are good when we know who's going to be on for this.

I have been lurking around this site for quite some time, finally registered and got three more accounts to start 5 boxing (been 2 boxing for about 18 months or so).

I've always wanted to try Horde side, and been looking for a good place to start. If this starts to take off, count me in. Since I have no other teams, I have no reason to stay on any one server. I only have 1 high level hordie on a PvP server, so I'm not sure I'll be bringing him over, but I could definitely do it to help out my team instead of relying on other folks...

I have officially taken the plunge in multiboxing... on Vek.

My little team consists of a BE Paladin (Torranas), 3 undead mages (Scorchnbonez/Blastnbones/Burninbonez) and an undead priest (Healinbonez).

All level 5. Fun considering all I've done before is put an alt on /follow while I blaze him through instances...

Macros are set for individual focus' in case the main goes splat. Used the accept scripting macros on the wiki for group accepts, etc. Works so far. We'll see tomorrow when I bring the Bonez's over to Silvermoon City and meet up with "El Torr"...better quests in Ghostlands, etc and I get pretty depressed in the undead starting area. Too much doom and gloom.

I would like to make the guild tonight, I'll set up one bank tab (for now until it gets full). On this tab it will be for bags. Whenever you get a bag and don't need it anymore just put it in this slot for other people to take. Stupid me has been selling all my bags until 2 weeks ago :(. When the guild is setup we will be able to see how many people are willing to try this.
What we are planning to do is only invite your main or mains (if you have more then one team) to the guild. I know the zerg had problems when they hit over 500 guild members. I'm aiming to make the guild at around 9:45 server time (central time in rl), so try to be on then for the first global guild invites.

Yes, it's still going. there are only 2 of us actually working on anything right now, so it's very slow. I've personall run out of time lately for a 3rd team, with Beta testing and Real Life (my Girls start school monday) so i have less time to actually play. But if we can get 2-3 more active people leveling and working on things i'm sure things will liven up.

Well, we're starting to be quite a few multiboxers on my server, Skywall. Server time is west coast, and I speak for the horde. There are some alliance, but I don't know much about them. And it's PvE in the same battlegroup that Aelli is in currently.

Hrm. Is this plan/idea still alive and kicking? I've currently got a schwack of chars, mostly alliance, but I do however have 4 hordies sitting around at 70 on a differant server, unplayed in months, still in quest greenies and the odd blue. Haven't touched them since the guild I was in fell apart. I am currently running a 4 sham / 1 pally team (just hit 65) on the alliance side, but I'm really not all that happy with my server anymore. I've been in my current guild for close to 2 years now, but its so super casual that we have "1" Kara team that has yet to down Prince/Nightbane/Netherspite due to lack of people showing most of the time.

However, that being said. I'm definately interesting in seeing more than just the front half of Kara for the amount of money / time I've invested in the game, but would prefer to do it multi-box style. Running one char is just too stinking boring, and when we do have the manpower for Kara, I generally only get to bring 1 char, as the raid leader tries to bring as many from /gu as possible and/or his friends instead. (And no, I don't care much for arenas / PvP in general.. Will persue the odd item from BGs, but would much rather hit an instance or raid)

Play times - well, unfortunately due to work being insanely busy, I am fairly limited hours wise during the weekdays, but am generally open Fri nights from around 7 or so server till whenever, and have saturday/sundays open as well. Sunday evenings would have to be a bit earlier, as getting up at 4:30 am isn't very late night gaming friendly.

I'd probably start a new 5 man team though, if Vek works out, debating going with a warr(Prot), 3 locks(aff to level, demo after possibly), and a priest(holy..). Shammy/Pally are fun and all, but I love warrs (prot is the only way to go) and warlocks more :P In the interests of speedy leveling, I'd definately be willing to go get 5 more accounts and RAF em, I can level fairly quickly with enough time, but time is short these weeks.

Some short and to the point hardware specs...

1 PC - Athlon 5200+, 1x BFG Geforce 8800 Gtx, dual 22" Samsung widescreens, (1 char on first, 4 tiled on the 2nd), 8 gigs o ram, Vista64 Ultimate, more harddrive space than I know what to do with. Keyclone running the commands, and a X-keys pro for all the goodies. With my current test noob on Vek, I'm sitting at around 240 latency, which seems to be fairly standard for any server from where I'm at. (Curse you Blizz for not having a MST Canadian based server!).

Edit : Bekiwun(Warr), Bekitoo(Lock), Bekithrie(Lock), Bekifore(Priest), Bekifyve(Lock) are alive! Level 1 and counting! :thumbsup:
