Me and my wife live together, however our accounts are under seperate names. Since she got hers before we married her last name does not match mine.
I have heard that if you are multi boxing and one of the account isn't yours you will get banned, but what if I bring my multi-boxing team to say, SM, and she brings her level 70 and runs me through until I level out of the bracket? Will Blizzard assume I am multi-boxing the account due to us sharing and internet connection and her running my team through? I am worried about this but it's something I really want to do. Any advice would be appreciated.

Don't worry about it.
The dead giveaway that you are multiboxing are the exact duplicate keystrokes sent to the different clients. Assuming she doesn't press the exact same keys as you, exactly when you do, there would be no reason for a GM to think her toon is controlled by the same guy (you) who is boxing.
If you both have the same physical address and same IP address, there's really nothing they can do to you... You pay for the game, you play it legally... It's no different than grouping up with some friends and grinding out an instance.

I doubt it's a problem, as long as you have evidence that you're 2 persons playing your own accounts.

Thanks guys, and yes I am very thankful that my wife does play. This comes to my second question. With multi boxing I generally have my clones on follow. Is it alright to put myself on follow on my wifes char? I will still be sitting here, but anyone thats been run through anything knows it gets REALLY boring. This that would be a problem? If it is, no biggie I can continue manually running. I'd still be manually looting and everything, just on follow for the most part. Thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it.

And since all of my macros were for party1 etc I just followed around a warrior with my 4 locks, and just spammed the "dps" button and killed whatever they were targeting... As long as you are at the keyboard doing something, there's nothing wrong. They put /follow in for a reason.

I would get to the instance with your wife (having your toons follow you not your wife) when you are in the instance put it on your wife because only you will be in that instance and no one else. If it was me i would have the toons always following me, i would do this because you have to be in range to get xp and too far away you don't get any. So you would have to clear, move your toons, clear, move your toons. If you are with your wife, the wife can clear when she is clearing you can follow and loot. It saves a lot of time. When my toons where low and had a free space in my group, what i did was i found a person outside the instance and asked them if they want a quick power lvl. They usually say yes. what i did was have them follow that person and i would kill the mobs. I would loot the mobs after i killed them, but she stayed in perfect xp range, and out of agro.

Also give Bliz a call they MAY be willing to update her last name being it is a legal name change.

You'll have to provide a notarized copy of the marriage certificate and a copy of her drivers license at a minimum. It's one of the few times you CAN have a name changed.
Anyway, I play with my GF all of the time, I even pay for her account. The only different contact information on the account, in fact, is her name as the owner. They really don't care as long as it's not automated, and since we all know that you have to push buttons to do things, there is nothing wrong with grouping with someone like that. I have my accounts, she has her account, we never log into each others accounts.
BTW: A boomkin being followed around by a bunch of pink elephants sticks out... a lot.... yeah.....
