Borrowed from d0z3rr's thread about the negatives to multiboxing, here's my list of the positives, from a 5-box player who prefers PvE over PvP:

10. Revenge - Corpse camping with 5x in a circle around the body = no safe place to rez. I've only resorted to this a couple times, but usually from a particularily annoying higher-level enemy who's trying to interfere with my questing. Like the two fools in Hinterlands who kept interfering with my chicken robot escort.

9. Arena/BG PvP - Capable of having personal arena teams, and simultaneous 5x highest dmg attack on single target. Scheduling arena battles for teammates isn't an issue. For PvP-oriented players, I'm sure this is MUCH higher on the list.

8. Protection (PvP servers) - Unprovoked world PvP is less likely to end in a corpse run.

7. Professions - All 3 gathering + (dis)enchanting at a minimum are always available to feed alts with mats.

6. Alts - Multiple lvl 70's for the work of little more than one.

5. Money - Dailies x5, instance farming for AH/vendor, all gathering professions available to rake in the gold.

4. Coordination - No need for communication or marking targets in instances/PvP.

3. No wasted time - Never need to wait for another player to do something, go afk, log in, etc.

2. Loot - No /rolling needed! (and endless supply of shards), instance farming at will.

1. No LFG - All 5 mans are now possible with many class combinations. No dealing with douchebags that ninjaloot or screw up pulls, and not having to say you're sorry for making a bad pull yourself.

Anything big I may have forgotten? :)
I'm interested to see this list re-ordered by a major Arena PvP player to get another perspective..

Number 6 is a big one. People like to say "multiboxers have no life" but the reality is that we have 5 70s for the time it takes to make maybe 1.75. So who has no life? Us, or the guy with 5 individually rolled 70s?

6,5,3,2,1 all prove that we make better use of our time in-game. After single-boxing for years, then taking the jump to 2 and finally 5-boxing, it's MUCH more time-efficient to have a group of 5 over 1, with the only exception being collection quests that are usually skipped. Who has no life.. one who wastes many hours playing WoW, or one who saves many hours by spending an extra $60 a month? I'll take the $60 charge to give myself a free 10-20 hours of extra time every month. I can easily remember wasting at least 2-5 hours a week waiting on another player, or having to re-run instances because I got out-rolled on loot.

8. Protection (PvP servers)
This is my #2. Fear my stun locking you into lighting bolt hell.
