Hey Rob,

I have a weird problem that seems to keep cropping up.

When I try to start keyclone, I can see it in the system tray (icon), but I can't find the keyclone window anywhere.

When this first happened, I figured somehow it had gotten moved off screen, exited, and stored that location, so I opened up the keyclone.ini to see if that's what happened. My theory was right in that the "last_location" is off the screen, but instead of just being off to the right somehow, it had negative values.

So I went ahead and deleted that line, started up keyclone, and it was visible again. The problem is, every time I exit it seems to do this again.

Here's an example of the current value stored in keyclone.ini:

last_position=-32003,-32029,0

I have no idea beyond that what could be causing it. Let me know if you need more info.

is it going to another monitor you might have removed or turned off?

please make sure you are running v1.8k .. and NOT the alpha or beta copies. just download a fresh copy if you are unsure.

otherwise, right-click the tooltray icon... and select 'reset keyclone position'

I think you may have been right. I thought I'd upgraded from the alpha when you released 1.8k, but I reinstalled again last night and the problem seemed to go away, so yay.

BUT... :P

Now, keyclone doesn't seem to want to exit. The window closes down, but the icon stays in the tray and i can still see keyclone.exe in the task manager. Is this a known issue?

yea.. the exit hang is a known bug and is on the list

closing it via the tool tray right-click/exit won't hang, afaik
