Ok, I detest and loth BGs and arenas. But, some of the gear is pretty damn nice. I'm struggling a bit doing heroics so I've come to the conclusion that BGs & arenas will get me some reasonable gear - over time. I have absolutely no idea what BG to do or what rewards I should aim for.
Here is a list of all slots on my characters (5x Shaman) that do NOT have epics equipped:
Head
Shoulder
Gloves
Legs
Cloak / Back
Trinkets
What do I need from BGs?

What do I need from BGs?I really really hate BGs as well. I managed to get about 3k honor over this AV weekend and that made me feel burned out on them. Although, I'm currently three ele shamans, so I just get a pug tank and healer for heroics and that works pretty well, so I have mostly all badge gear on two of my girls, and I actually raid with the first, so she's very well equipped.

I love and I mean LOVE to camp the SP, UB SSV area.
I get water walking and stand on the water waiting for ally to come in. the best part is that its never just one! Hours of pew pew before they route you out of your hole!
What I've been doing is visiting the gear vendors in Champions Hall in SW to look over which pieces would give me the biggest benefit. I decide on one then go grind honor points by playing lots of AV's then go grind out the tokens in which ever BG I need for that piece. I started "taking my medicine" before hitting the needed honor by doing 1 or 2 BG's for tokens then back to AV (then alternating) because AV is much more fun for a multiboxer than the others unless you get in a premade. The 3 EotS premades I was in was awesome, quick wins without jerks following me around then blaming me for a loss. Everyone just did what they were supposed to and 2 of the 3 games eventually became 4 caps.
I hit 70 early morning of June 18th and I've already gotten more than 10k HK's on all 5 shammies, lol. That's how much I've been BG in AV, I went with spell mace first (huge upgrade from Talbuk Slicer) then the S2 shoulders (because they look nice :) ). Then I went for the S2 shield and decided to pick up the S2 helm since my mailbox was overflowing with AV tokens and then the gloves as well for the same reason.
I'm shooting for the S3 chest piece after I accumulate enough arena points. I formed my team and played 10 games the night before S4 started so my rating reset to 1500 the next day. :) In my second week I played another 10 games where I ended up losing all 10 again. I saw a blue say that disbanding the team and paying for a new charter was no problem so I did just that this past week to squeeze every last arena point out of it and will do that again later tonight since the points should have calculated overnight. This week I have a priest that's going to play my 5's with my shammies so I'll see how that goes. I'd be happy even if I could get into the 1600's this season, lol.
I found after grinding honor this past weekend in AV and getting the Merciless Gladiators Gavel that I have a way easier time with instances now, (considering it was around 150~ spell damage upgrade!)
