View Full Version : Two computers, using autohotkey and keyclone

Ok, I'm dual-boxing LOTRO. Keyclone works great but of course LOTRO doesn't have much in the way of a macro system so just trying to start a follow remotely is a bit of a pain. (Please chime in if you've found a way to do it).

So I figured I'd use AutoHotkey to send a '{F2}' and a '/follow' command. I got that working on the #2 box. However, how I can't for the life of me get KeyClone to also feed autohotkey the key from #1 so that it will inject it's keys to lotro #2. I'm sure it's something simple - any help would be great.

TIA

Let me see if I understand your issue?? Are you using two instances on one PC? or Two separate PC's??

If you are using two separate PCs, you need to have 2 copies of Keyclone, one on each PC, then you can set it up, so that they talk across your network and will be able to send keystrokes back and forth, or you can set it so one sends only and will not receive commands from the other.

If you are using one PC with multiple instances of LotRO, then I don't know how to help you, because I have not been able to get this to work for myself. I have to resort to alt tabbing from one to the other or clickng in window, no keyclone for this for me ATM. :/ If anyone has an application suggestion to utilize Keyclone with multiple instances on one PC< please let me know.

Also a PS2 Kinesis Macro pad is a good solution for setting up macros. I have only ever used a few, the (F2, /follow) you mentioned earlier, and a (shift+F2) so that the auto following toons will target the lead toons target in order to stack up heals on leads target in a hurry.

Also does anyone have raid experience multi boxing and have trouble with the F2 key not giving the same target for all toons in group unless you did the raid invites and are leader? Have you found a solution?? I am currently making sure I am only person in my multi boxing group and using (F2, then mouse clicking ground to clear mains target, then (Shift+F2) which gets all my followers targeting me, then using (/follow hotkey) to get them following again, and then selecting my target, which is long and drawn out, especially since I only use it when joining PUG raids in Ettenmoors and reaction time is a priority and this sequence is not a good solution. :/
