Some trolls on the WoW Community forums are using the fact that many of you out there are using accounts illegally to multibox. STOP DOING IT. Also, don't post about it. If the accounts aren't all in your name, DON'T PLAY THEM. It's wrong for you to agree to the EULA and then turn around and violate it. As Vyndree like to say, if you don't agree, don't click, "I Agree."
Just saying.

Riiight.... let them do what they want let them get banned simple as that.

The people who deserve to get banned, will get banned.
I'm happy with that.
I push the rules on the forums because I don't like to see people get banned when they don't know they are doing something wrong. To those who knowingly break the rules and think you can get away with it: what goes around comes around.

Perhaps I should clarify my concerns. If people are under the impression that we don't play our own accounts, they automatically ask where we got them and might even associate our website with keyloggers. Likely? Hard to say. I'd really don't care if people get their accounts banned, I just want our community to maintain its image.

I understand you. I am frequently told "nice mod" by unknowing twits. I am therefore forced to pause my questing and explain. If I didn't they would think "omg hax, I need to go there and get my hax!!". I try to place emphasis on owning all 5 accounts and then get the usual "what a waste" comment back. :)

I am a male gamer and I approve this post. Seriously, if someone wants to go down that route, keep it off the public forums - we have enough image problems without the new QQ threads about how we multi-box assaults of that sort in IRL or whatever.

Cool, let's let forum trolls decide what we are allowed to talk about on this forum. You guys take retards like them too seriously, it's almost like you're scared of them, as if they have the power to convince Blizzard to ban us.
But whatever, I don't run these forums so if it's Ellay's desire for us to not talk about it, so be it.
Oh and Skuggoman's comment was hilariously random.

Why would you think that?
If you're not account sharing, and all the accounts are in your name, there is NO WAY you can get banned for account sharing. :P

As long as it's inline with the forum rules ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Board&boardID=31') I have no problem with discussion. But, everyone, do at least read through your posts to make sure you're representing the community fairly. It's hard enough to play with the amount of harassment we get in game -- we don't need more.

Aren't there a couple threads saying that people's accounts have been band for assumed account sharing, after a email to blizzard the band was release, but they do band people that play by the rules not on purpose though.

Correct, but those who honestly have not been account sharing can easily get their accounts back.
Think about it: 5 accounts, all logged in from the same IP. They all have the same account name.
Why would these accounts be considered account sharing?
Perhaps because someone suddenly logged in from a chinese IP and started farming? Hacked or purchased powerleveling?
Perhaps because one of the names was misspelled or mistyped and did not match the others?
Perhaps because one of the names totally didn't match the others and there WAS account sharing going on?
Perhaps because the IP addresses didn't match because they used a service like LowerPing?
Those are just some ideas, but I believe the people who did get banned for account sharing due to being hacked or having name inconsistencies ("Bob instead of "Robert") were able to get their accounts back after showing proof of ownership.

"Bob instead of "Robert"
Wow i wouldn't have never thought about that.In day to day activities, I go by my middle name, but for legal reasons I use my whole name. Inconsistent application of my own name could potentially cause me a temporary ban, but could be cleared up with a simple call to account management, a copy of my DL, a notarization, and a 7-10 day wait.
BTW, I went through this a few months back, when I learned of the issue with perceived account sharing. It took a week to correct, but I saw no downtime, because I was proactive.

Not to mention about 99% of the people who use the word "karma" are using some bastardized definition...
See, in order for "karma" to work.... you have to die. If you don't understand, maybe you should stop using the word until you do understand.I just put my karma on my ice cream. It's tasty with chocolate sauce. And cherries.....
What? Oh! Karma, not caramel.....

Okay, folks. It seems that one of the trolls on the forum has started using our discussions as a way to report people that account share. Again, I'm not all that worried that anything will come of it, but be sure if you fall into that category that you edit out any information from obvious places that could be used to make problem for you.
I'm not saying this to keep account sharers protected; I hope they all get banned. I'm saying this for those few people, if they even exist, that weren't aware of the rules and switched over to legal gameplay later. This way, you've got nothing to worry about in the off chance that Blizzard takes this idiot seriously.
