Best Setup for 8 box

Hi,

I 5 boxed on Wow before the expansion with 1 warrior and 4 mages. I got bored and wanted to pvp so I went back to Daoc for awhile. Now I'm bored again and looking for something to keep me entertained. I currently run 8 machines. What would be the ideal setup for Wow (I've read the composition threads and 1xpally 4xsham sounds good with 5)? Should I only run 5 of the machines or is there a way I can effectively use all 8? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

8 is an interesting number, since you can't complete quests in a raid, but you can in a party of 5.

Any particular reason you want all 8? Besides just having the machines lying around? You'll likely have to level them in groups 5 or less anyway.

Nope...no reason at all. I have 8 machines because in Daoc groups are 8 vs 5 in Wow. Just wondered if there was a use for them or if it was better just to power them down :)

Personally I'd just go with the standard 5-man group for your first group, since you won't be able to level all 8 together anyway. Once you get a group of 5 70's, then you can either choose to level 5 more 70's or just 3 to complete the set of 8. :)

Leveling 5 should give you some perspective. I'd suggest figuring out what you WANT to do with your group of 8 -- because atm the only thing I can see working would be BG's -- most likely just AV since you'd be half the battleground or more in any other BG.

You would almost have enough to do the 10 man raids, which in the next expansion will be all of them. You'd just need to fill 2 spots, or add 2 of your own. But I'd still do 5 at first. It'd be hell to try to level 8 toons at once in WoW. You can't quest, and you get extremely lower xp than normal. If I were to eventually go to 8+ accounts, I'd just level 2 groups of 5 (try a 5x shaman and a holy trinity group) separately, and if you wish to do all 8, get more accounts and xfer the chars off.

Man, Imagine seeing 8 shaman coming at you.....
