View Full Version : Aiiiieeeee! Keyclone error = Death and Sad Day

I was in AB with my 3 mages. My main guy died, so I went to switch to character 2. At that moment, character 2 died. This caused Keyclone to error out. I finished who I was killing and started up keyclone again. I then went to switch to my main char....but it would not switch. You have to hit "connect" to get that functionality.
So, there I was, surrounded by ugly jerkfaces...and I was stuck without keyclone. I had to close everything to start over again (takes like 5-10m to log back in with all 3)
Anyone know a way around this bug for in the future?

I haven't encountered this, but I might be able to alleviate some of that load time: "5-10 min to relog"
Launch Windows Media Player 11 (or whichever is the newest version) before launching keyclone/wow and just minimize it - with WMP running in the background, you can often take off 30-40% of your load-time, especially if you are heavy on the addons.
This sounds like a hoax or something similar, but on most systems, it does work to amazing effect. I dont have any links that discuss this, but it was up on the official forums a year or 2 ago at least, and probably a few times since.

Well, 5-10m is probably an exaggeration, as it's more like 45-60 seconds..lol
It FEELS like 5-10 min !!

try WMP trick anyways - it might help :)
I load up 5 clients in about 20 seconds - from blank desktop through password and load into game ;)
scsi raid drives help ofc :)

i believe the WMP thing had to do with multimedia timer slice size.
and as an fyi, Mwuanno... if you are on xp... CHECK 'performance boost' under keyclone/setup/general ... this does the same thing
:D
