Ok im going to run through my Game plan and see what the community has to say.

1.) pve, maybe 3v3 pvp rogues. I am thinking Human for reputation unless someone can convince me to go gnome (which is almost a sin...)
2.)The spec: 3 questions on this one
Assassination tree: Improved kidney shot would give 9% dmg from all sources... would that be 27% from 3 rogues or does it not stack.
Combat tree: at lvl 34 i could get mace stun. I hear its utterly absurd for pvp (and i have felt its pain) but for leveling would that be in my best intrest?
Subtlety tree: Hemo, i never understood this one really but i hear rogues crying it from the mountains.
**What do you think, would be best, for A. leveling then B. end game, (havent decided pvp or pve)

3.) im thinking of doing just skinning, mining, alchemy. For all gathering, unless there is something that rogues MUST have from professions at end game.

Looking forward to hearing back :D thanks

pretty much reason i went against the grain and went melee multi-boxing, because i really want to play either a warrior or a dk for my main in wotlk.

Moving along pretty well actually. Melee boxers are a blast once you get the pull left swing around down.
Rogues are kinda weird with stealth, esp if you have lag then its sorta awful.

But so far, Sinister strike to get aggro on main toon and backstab with other 2. Drops dead, its fun to watch.

it really helps me to do this on just about everything
/assist focus
/cast sinister strike
/follow focus

I am looking forward to the days with arenas...
(i also cried when i realized i get to loot 4x with pick pocket)
Probably will join all melee MB's in a thread together tomorrow to talk it up.
Peace till then, and to you guys thanks for the help.

I would suggest levelling combat.

I levelled to the early 40's as a subtlety rogue.

Great opening damage but hard work if it was resisted. Adds were a bit more of an issue, had to vanish or run away lots.

I swapped to combat and I wish I had levelled that way. No need for much stealth just get in the face of the mob and burn it down. Survivability was quite good.

I would recommend macroing up changing to a dagger in your main hand when you stealth (and macro up your openers to swap back to a sword in your main hand when you pop out of stealth. This way you still get big hits opening up out of stealth when you need to.

The reason I think there are a lot of gnome rogues is for that pesky escape artist ability, plus they are difficult to click on when they are running round like a loon under your feet. (but from the sounds of it I suspect you've gone humans already).

If you can solve the issue of not all facing the same way with a mob (and it sounds like you have) then I think you will have a blast.

I've got a 5x rogue set up to the mid teens now, and they're a lot of fun. Spec combat and it's much easier since you don't have to worry about positioning as much.

Can you explain this please? I don't quite understand what you mean. If you have a nice method for keeping your dudes facing your target, I'm sure everyone here would love some insight.

read this

DOGS OF WAR: A Melee Multi-boxing experiement ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=57395&highlight=dogs+of+war#post57395')

maybe the 'Dogs' posting should be stickied in the new boxer section; it's a good guide for those that want to do melee groups.

Pretty much you run to the left of the target to kill and either swing him around so your main is on the left and the other two are on the targets right.
M x
...A
M for main
a for alts
x for target

Also running through the target to reposition yourself infront of him and turn around helps alot for rogues with backstab, ambush etc,
Most of the positions can be Found in Tdog's melee manual.
