Grats. Don't kill yourself.
Exactly. I've been on hayabusa.org forums for years, and it seems like on a monthly basis someone becomes an organ donor on there. Unfortunately, with the decade of growth from the 90's cell phone / SUV boom, roads are now at their worst for safety on motorcycles. I've always thought about getting a Hayabusa, and came within minutes of making a decision on a '99 model about 5 years ago, but I'm glad I've kept my hobby to cars.. GSX, 350Z, S2000, Supra TT.. I have more control over what happens on the road in a car, and having a convertible/targa roof nearly gives me the open air feeling of a bike.

Be careful. A good friend of mine is paralyzed from the waist down from a bike accident 2 years ago, and it wasn't his fault. Due to the idiot with no insurance and no assets who hit him, he's burned a bit of his savings covering extra medical costs that his (very good) health insurance didn't quite cover.

Grats! And nice to see a fellow rider! (not a Hayabusa but a bike non-the-less BMW R1200ST).

Just be careful - and not only of the roads and other drivers but objects flying from other drivers cars. A very close friend died on the scene a couple years back when a tire flew off the driver side of a truck and slammed into him on the freeway.
