Normal SL..in the bag!

I just wanted to say that today i entered SL with my team for the first time ( normal mode) And i had read many post that the second boss was a brick wall for most teams unless you spec one healer resto. Well i went in there and killed every boss in one attempt! I popped all my cool downs just before engaging the "mind control boss" and during the MC i was just spamming my chain heal so it would go off right away. I killed him before second MC, no deaths. I lost one shamy on Murmur.. but he went down hard and fast as well 8)

Anyways.. I'm not bragging, but rather i am excited that i faced these bosses with fear and trembling. In the end i came out proud that i am a MBr and looking forward to when i can start farming heroics! BTW every normal mode 5 man has been cleared as of today 8) I have 3 pieces of epic PvP gear so far and will have 6 by Tuesday, including my Brut gloves..WOOT! COME ON BETA INVITES X5!!

Actually the first 3 bosses are near identical to the normal mode bosses, however murmur is quite a pain.

Hey - even if it was bragging i think you've got every right to.

That's pretty damn impressive in my books.

I remember finding SL hard in a normal group. It was actually the third boss (Vorpil) that caused most problems. Just a brilliant example of how 1 player handling 5 characters can outperform 5 individuals.

Well done! Shadow Labrynth is a good instance to boost your confidence on.

I remember when I first attempted Shadow Labrynth, it was with fear and trembling also :) The only boss I had - and still have - trouble with is the Enciter (MC boss). And its only because of my gear, the better gear I get the hard it is. When I first attmpted him I pulled out all my fire elementals in an attempt to burn in down fast - EPIC FAIL! They all turned on me and we went down faster than the Hindenberg and a baby playing with matches. My second attempt was much better, no elementals :) I still detest facing him, once I get mind controlled we usually chain lightning the group to death. Its not uncommon to kill 2-4 guys before MC breaks. If at least 2 survive the first MC we can take him down before the second MC.

Vorpil always goes down quicker than a 5 year old with a knee to the groin. I stand at max casting range, drop all totems, pop all cooldowns and blast him. If I'm slow he will manage to summon 1 voidy. But I've never been teleported yet.

Murmur is a similar fight to Vorpil, now I line up the girls side-by-side and blast him. Though, I used to spread out the girls at max range so the bomb would not silence anyone the group. Drop all totems, pop all cooldowns, drop Earth Elementals (important!) and blast him. The only time I didn't drop the earth elementals I wiped.

I farmed SL to hit Exalted with Lower City for the main hand mace. btw I hit exalted 2 days ago so no more SL - YAH!

But SL did wonders for my bank balance! I pulled the Death Bringer staff out of there 5-6 times. The Aldor Marks sell very well. There are 3 chests in there (2 are unlocked). And 5-6 shards per run is pretty good gold.
