shammy warstomp racial.

I did a search on this site and it showed that for racials :

pve : tauren>orc>troll

and

pvp: orc >tauren>troll

So i've totally discounted trolls. However it occured to me that my shammy team will be doing the usual instance runs, but that they will also spend a lot of time in BG's.

I've always felt the weakness of the shaman is a lack of CC so figured that it might actually be nice to mix up my team between orc and tauren shamans.

My question - before I roll my mixed tauren/orc squad and discover at level 63 that warstomp is rubbish, is warstomp an effective stun in PVP?

Has it saved your life in instances?

Is it a racial ability you wouldn't like to be without after having it?

Has it ever come in useful in addition to staggered earthshocks to stop those pesky aoe mages?

I was under the impression that whilst Blood fury was a great damage booster, you basically put a MS debuff on yourself for 15 secs, it can seriously mess ur PvP performance up :S

the anti stun racial is nice, but is a little on the luck side :S (unreliable)

personally I would argue that

Tauren>Orc=Troll

plus there are rumours of them buffing the troll passive regen racial :) (I stress rumours!)

Warstamp Is an pvp based racial mainly, its imba in pvp.. Not much usefull in Pve compaired to berzerging from a troll etc..

i have a 2v2 arena team. I play a BE rogue and my friend plays a tauren druid. There are a lot of times that warstomp saved us. Not in the way of running, but to stop the healer from healing. When the pally is in the middle of cast a major heal to bring him back to full, my kick and kidney shot on cd, the friend comes in and stomp and that stun cancels his healing and i can usually kill the little hp he has left.

I am with deceased... the Orc Stun resist was godly (especially on a warrior) until it was nerfed... now warstomp x4 all the way

i just got my orc team to 70, and wish i had gone tauren.. that warstomp puts an end to mages killin me with that AOE and jumping around like a down kid on speed...

I plan 5X tauren shaman as one of my group.

Warstom is amazing in BG, World of Arena PVP

Lets sayh you re in arena and get dropped by a rogue.

1) drop 5X fire totem,
2) Warstomp o one chracter ( round robin).
3) start castng CL
4) Earth Shock.

Stn sould have just wore off and he should be more than dead, as wel as another any melees partially hurt from the fire novs and CL.

Thn warstomp again, CL, Earth Shock. That is the 2nd melee down ad now its 5 on 3, 1 Chain Hea and every back t 100%.

Warstomp has let me have a few very good strats on melee heavy groups I would not be able to pull off without it.
