I started dual boxing 2 mages. I am still wanting to go bigger though. I currently have 2 set up perfectly. So the question is, in your own opinions is 3 worth the leap? I know I can handle 3.. Should I add a 3rd char, and maybe try a 2 class 1 class group. Or stay with a nice 2 group..?

Peronsally i think you should, i plan on doing 3 mages too myself because then i can do 3v3 arena on my own, pluse if u make the leader a frostie and the other 2 fires, u can keep the enemy at bay while also doing bulk fire damage, or you could just go 3 frosties and have massive shatters? i prefer going fire personally XD
basically the way i see it is that it only changes the end game stuff, so probably dont worry if u plan on playing casual and MAYBE making up to level 70, but if ur definately going to lev 70 i reccommend 3 mages

I ran 2 toons for a long time and I can personaly say when I added the 3rd it made everything alot more easier. Instead of being twice as powerfull, you are now 3 times as powerful. Adding the forth was even more fun and I cant wait to add the 5th hopefully in August.

Three is a magic number for me.
Two is fun, but not quite enough to have an "I win" button!
Four or five is ok, but the stress levels go through the roof at times, and for me personally that falls under the banner of "doing it for the challenge" rather than purely for fun.
Three is just right :)
Of course, it depends what you intend to do. I'm very lucky in that I have a wife who plays (and multiboxes!) and a RL friend who lives literally down the road, so it's easy for us to co-ordinate an instance run or something.
On their own, three won't let you do *alot* more than two. The biggest deal would be if all three were shammies, in which case the benefit of 3 stackable / periodic totems over two is dramatic.

3 is more fun that 2 for the reasons stated. All I would add is that if you're planning to PvP, then that'll be ace. If you're planning to PvE with them, then once you go 3, the 4th and 5th won't be far away as the temptation of solo instance runs will be too much :D (Just speaking from personal experience :D)

Doesn't the bonus exp for 3 in a group make a huge difference, too?
You could also make each one a gatherer - one skins, one picks flowers, one mines. You'd have nice full bags very fast. :)

Edit : Doing just that on my rogues, miner, skinner, herbalist. Group exp, and depending what class when things stack 3x over, its mucho sweet.

Quoted from "Simulacra" go five
I used to 2 box before, but i didnt had any difference, and more pain in the butt. 2 box doesnt give group bonus exp, you cant solo dungeons, ect etc. I upgraded to 1 pala 4 shammy now, and its great. I have never had so many fun in my wow play time. :)
I'd go 5, if you have a rocking pc like i do you can 5 box on one pc without that many lag.
I am 22 now and did BFD without a whipe. Tip if you go for 4 or 5, go for enchanting :) ITS AWESOME.
