Octopus on vanguard

I installed Octopus and left the settings basically on the defaults. I have camera view problems in Vanguard with Octopus running. I can start Octopus and not even connect it to clients, and start vanguard and when i am in game the camera always goes to above my character looking straight down. I can move it with the mouse, but the second i release the mouse button, it goes back to looking straight down from above my toon. Any Ideas? Please help....

i hate to promote use of my filter driver without knowing whether Vanguard is DirectInput or not, but since one person reported it fixed it, you may find its the case. Like EQ just seems to screw up with the mere presense of a mouse hook. that is DirectInput so while this thins is evolving and i might find a way around it, it' could work. however I don't test the filter driver so much, so don't be suprised if some feature is borked with it.

I have read several posts of users that are playing vanguard with Octopus. So I am fairly confident it works. Just not sure what I am doing wrong.
