Thinking about it I just cant make a final choice. Which professions are best for a 4 shaman team? I've been thinking about all the goodies. I plan on pvping for all my gear so keep in mind I will not be crafting.

Thx guys.

Mining and skinning are always good money makers, or herbalism. I mean if your dont plan on crafting anything. Just pick two that can make you gold.

Herbalism, Mining, Skinning & Enchanting.

Even though you're not crafting, I would also consider leatherworking for Drums Of Panic. Awesome in PvP....

Absolutely perfect. Enchanting on all, mining/herb/skin on 3 and probably JC on the main.

thx guys

I say if you get enchanting on them you should get tailoring on one of them. I know that you said that you don't want to do crafting but tailoring feeds enchanting so easy and it is fast because almost everything drops cloth.

LW feeds Enchanting quite nicely, and the drums are always nice :) All I can think of for tailoring is the pant thread.

The 3 special cloths too (spell, moon, shadow)

Profession-grinding has to me been a pain as a multiboxer ... today I have to following setup:

Main: Herbalism / Skinning
Alt 1: Letherworking / Tailoring
Alt 2: Mining
Alt 3: Jewelcrafting / Letherworking
Alt4: Alchemy / Encanting / First Aid

1) Herbalism + Skinning on the main is deadeasy ... I just skin what I kill, and I see all the herbs on the minimap.
2) Letherworking: I lack A LOT of medium Leather, so either I have to go back to a zoone where it drops or buy it from AH.
3) Tailoring: I could feed 3 tailors with the number of cloth I have!
4) Mining ... since I have this on an Alt I dont see the nodes from time to time, meaning a miss quit a few ... resulting in me having to do separate mining-runs to make sure my mining-skill equals the zoon Im currently in.
5) Jewelcrafting: Since Im always on the short side with mining my jewelcrafter dont get the mats she needs ... resulting in me not keeping up the jewelcraft-grind.
6) Alechmy: Supported by my main ... not a big issue.
7) Enchanting: Supported by all drops + letherworking + tailoring ... dead easy.

But (now for the big BUT): Once I have leveld ~5 levels I need to grind up all none-gathering-proffession, which means I have to run around in IF / Exodar / Stormwind for a good 2 hours just to visit all proffesion-trainers ...... and I MUCH rather kill stuff that run around IF for 2 hours.

I run my Pally/4xShaman group this way:
Pally: Mining/Blacksmith - Mining is hardest gathering to level, so I want those nodes on my main minimap. BS for making shield spikes, then epic weapon/armor later on.
Shaman1: Herb/Skin - closest screen to my pally's minimap, so I can see the herb nodes easiest, and not a far mouse click away from skinning corpses.
Shaman2: Alchemy/(future)Inscription.
Shaman3: Leatherworking/Jewelcrafting.
Shaman4: Tailoring/Enchanting - the standard combo..

I don't bother with engineering. I have an alt that can make whatever few engineering items I may need (Salt Shaker), and I need too much ore for my BS/JC skills.

One suggestion is to have your gatherers be your primary toon. I made this mistake and missed a lot of nodes and herbs.

on my 5 shamans im putting:

#1 mining-lw
#2 enchanting
#3 skinning
#4 herba
#5 jc

i added LW on the brain for drums, both kind
jc mainly because i can feed my own gems if i farm enough.
i also left one prof free, and probably will take out LW if it justifies when the WotlK comes. Inscription can be a good bet for casters.

I've have skinning bound to my big button on my skinner clone, so no window switching required. That'd leave my main free to take mining & herbing (If I didn't need a BS in my fleet :whistling:

yes but dont mix gathering skills as you can only have one node detection up at a time. So if you do this go something like Mining/Skinning or Herb/Skinning. personally i use my Fish tracking up mostly :) muahahaha

My guys are 35 now.

Shamy#1 = Engi (193) +Mine (160) I put mining on my main like others because its the hardest gatherer to level up and want the nodes on my minimap. I put Engi on for goggles and seaforum charges to open chests and just never lvld engi before and wanted to do it. I've already got two very nice blue twink item drops out of locked chests in SM that sell for a ~175g each, I leveled up a rogues LP for boxes and chests, but I'm loving these seaforum charges, it just takes a lot of copper bars to keep a stack on me all the time.

Shamy #2 = Herb(127) + Alc ( 78 ). Its the top left client next to my mains window, so I can drag the minimap over to that corner so I can glance over and see nodes. Alc for xmutes and pots later on.

Shamy #3 = JC(82) + Tailoring(225): I wanted bags and never leveled a tailor before. JC for gems later.

Shamy#4 = Ench (221) + <haven't decided what else to put here>

Shamy#5 = LW(191) + Skinning(241) WC & RFK where awesome for skinning and LW.

Here's how mine is:
Pally - Eng/BS - for tankatronic goggles and armor/weps
Mage - Alch/Tailor - For elixors, things to DE, gear, and bags
Lock or Druid - Herb/Skinning - money and to supply other profs
Priest - Ench/JC - To DE and make gems/rings/etc
Shammy - Mining/LW - For ores and armor/armor kits

Works for me!
