[Arena] Season 4 Week 1

I re-spec my prot pally with ret gear to Shockadin last week. 33/0/23 for the Imp Sanctitity Aura 2% dmg for group.

I spent about 70k honor getting Lamellar pieces.
I used up my Spirit Shards for a Lamellar Helm, Spell Dmg Meta Gem and a Spell Dmg Exorcist Ring.
I also got the 3 pieces Khorium Set since I'm a blacksmith.

With blue gems, and most decent enchant (except Spell Dmg Glove & Bracer), I got near 900 Spell Dmg unbuffed.

My 2 Elemental Shamans have around 800+ Spell Damage as well.
My Resto Shaman who I started getting Spell Damage gear was 600 Spell Damage & 1500+ Healing.

I hooked up with a Warlock with 1200 Spell Damage.
0 win - 10 loss, as expected with heavy resilience 5s we faced this early in the season.


[3v3]
Well, I was 2-8.
I lost my first 3 matches with Shockadin + 2x Elemental
I lost 3 minimum matches with Shockadin + Elemental + Resto Shaman.
Then I went 2-2 on the last 4 with Shockadin + 2x Elemental.
I end up with 1423 3v3.

It's the Shabooms, we rawked AV a month ago for like 6 hours straight. I'd hit Belinda, you'd push up and clear the way.

Shaboom! Yeah AV grind were fun times and I still do sometimes.

I think at one AV, we got 3 multi-boxers there. Fun!

Lately, I'm grinding AB for tokens. Need S2 shoulders for the shamans. I got S4 belts--huge upgrade from a green belt.

For some reason, I'm capped at 100 tokens in AV and EotS. But struggling to collect WSG and AB.

I'm not playing 2s or 3s but to get people points since I get mine from 5s, but today in 5s was rough as hell. We got farmed by 3 teams that had every member in 3 s3/2 s4 (some had s4 head, some had s4 chest) and rogues with dual Warglaives, so it's been rough on Retaliation.

We'll get our rating back this weekend, I think we're down to 1560 right now.

Honestly, you're better off specc'ing holy and stacking as much + healing gear as you can.
My holy pally has 760 spell dmg just by using healing gear (1850 healing), and I could easily pass 800 if I created a +spell dmg alchemy trinket and changed my enchants and gems up a little to concentrate more on spell dmg.

After they added the +spell dmg conversion, a few patches back, that pretty much killed the shockadin spec as we have always known it.

i would try respeccing your resto shaman to elemental (no real gear changes needed, 500 spell dmg should be plenty) then trying 3 ele shamans in 3v3. At least try it and see how the results are. I am pretty satisfied with my results so far...

Week 1 of Season 4 i was able to hit 1502 a couple times (lol) with a mix of gear, the main had mostly S1 and S3 (S1 weapon) and the 2 slave shamans have mostly blue pvp gear (with some epic off-set items). Ended up 1483 for the week after 32 games, 15 wins 17 losses. Hoping to drive up past 1550 this week! =)

I definitely beat some teams that were totally decked out with epics, the power of 3 shamans is similar to aellies 4 shaman thing where you can kill someone before healers can react. The disadvantage of "No dedicated heals" is mitigated if you have a healing button for each character (i use 7: all 3 heal Yarr, 8: all 3 heal angelb, 9: all 3 heal angelf), this way all 3 will switch from dps to healing instantly, then back to DPS.
