shamies are the new mages !?

So I made a 5x shamy group and a 5xmage group on the ptr.. (my live shamies are only in their 40s).. did some BGs and then run Bot for kicks.. all I gotta say is holy @#$#. Playing shamies is what I expected from mages but didnt get. I figured that with 5x mages in BGs I'd be able to do some major pew pew.. got squat instead. With the resiliance gear and high stam the mages are barely able to take down one or two people. Playing shammies with the crazy CL+LO combos, they perform what you'd expect from mages but don't get. Taking down bosses in Bot without even needing to heal.. :thumbsup: yep yet another on the shammie wagon here; knew they were good but not this good. It's ironic everyone cries that shammies are underpowered but put 5 of them together and you got a super team.

I silently hopped on the shammywagon a few weeks ago too.

After spending (wasting?) the past year trying to be "unique" (which somehow seemed important to me at the time...), there's just no better choice for a PvP team on the Alliance side.

Resistence is futile! You will ALL have shammy teams!

Oh, wait... you all DO have shammy teams ;)

yeah I know what you mean.. I'm still clinging to my locks.. they're good for something right? ... right?? but the way it's looking even in instances shammies are cleaning house

Trying to be unique is what screwed me over aswell before I moved to AoC for a few months,
so, when reactivating my accounts I ignored my original team and went on with my 5x shammy.

Me and my friend did the exact same thing, testing them to see how it would be to have all the gear we would love to have and skip to 70. :P
AV on ally side sucked and it made us quite upset, but the world pvp, however, was the most fun we have both had since we started (been playing for like 2 years and him since release) so we were quite impressed. Yes people whine and complain just as much about this group though, but hey, there were 10 of us they can all piss off amirite?

Yeah, i was going to be a unique snowflake... then got to like lvl 5 on locks and hunters.. and said WTF i know shams work... F it.... i love my shams:)

I love when I'm at the mailbox clearing my bags and sending my banker my loot to sell on the AH and random guy goes, "LOL @ Shamy x5, what a moron, don't you know shamys suck!" blah blah blah... as I head off to do my instance, I see "<randomguy> LFG Need ..." , and then when I zone in from finishing my run I see <randomguy> "LF1 Healer g2g..." and chuckle to myself that he's still trying to get a group. Ya.. shamys suck lol...
