Heroic wipe....

So im at work and im bored... figure ill go try my first heroic.. i head into ramps cause ihear how easy it is... i am using aille's build so no TOW:( so whatever... i setup at the entrance... wait for the wanderer to walk away down the bridge then! pulled with chain lighthing:( which makes stoneclaws useless.. but still.. holy shit... these 2 wiped my team in seconds.. WTF.. do some pvp and wait for gear?

Well your sig says 5x67, so I'm guessing you just hit 70. I think the groups that are successful with all out DPS in heroics are pretty well geared. Until you reach that level, you might want to consider dropping one of your guys and bringing along a tank friend. I just tried this last night for my first heroic (Slave Pens) and it went pretty well. We only wiped 4 times or so, mostly to just plain bad pulls. Only once to something that was really multiboxing related when I changed my healing macro without testing it and it had a syntax error.
Oh, and don't drop your enchanter like I did!

Maybe you should start with the regular 5 mans(SV, SL, Mech, BOT...) first. it will help on your techniques and it will help you gear up too. Also make sure you have all the pvp Blues from rep vendors.

I recommend beating all the 5-mans on Normal* with your group, before trying Heroics. Remember that Heroic keys used to require Revered with the various factions for a reason - you should have the normal mode down to a science before stepping in.
Also your gear isn't good enough for Heroics I think, only around +300 damage and 7K HP... won't cut it I think. There are a ton of world quest drops you can use to improve your gear, along with crafted/reputation gear. You'll get gold towards your epic flying mount doing those quests too :)

I have a strong feeling running 5 undergeared shamans in a heroic won't cut it. If you really wanna jump in heroics do like Anozireth said and drop one shaman for a tank. My 4 shamans just dinged 70, but i've been around the block before so I had them honored in the big 5 factions before even turning 70 (Cent exp, thrall, lower city, shatar, and Keepers of time). When i dinged 70 I put them in full pvp blues, plus whatever quest rewards they had from leveling. At around 370 spell damage they can DPS heroics with a proper tank. Make sure your tank is at least raid geared (aka kara) and you should be able to pull it off.

Knowledge of the instances is pretty key too your success. Yesterday i let my girlriend play my paladin, (she's never played wow before in her life and after months of coxing she finally caved in) and she healed my tank (kara+badge gear) and my three 370 spell dmg shamans with much success. That paladin only has 700 healing (pvp blues and leveling quest rewards). It was underbog and i knew it like the back of my hand, the only time we wiped is when she moved too close to a naga patrol route and Ididn't warn her; Just to mix it up some. She was bored because i'd say exactly where to stand and what was lying ahead. I was so proud of her when she stunned one of the adds but then she was so excited she forgot to continue healing. lol.

Yeah, i flew around today and got 2 blues from thrallmar and 1 from CE.. 2 ringmail and gonna use 2 mail to get 2 +35 res bonus's:) Tonight im gonna try old hillsbrad on normal.. the keeper of time faction has some nice blues also.. seer's shoulders:)

I transfered my characters to my girl friends server :D SHE ROCKS!

Now I just need to transfer my priest to the same server and she can play that when we run heroics :)

Thers your problem, you want pvp gear, the HP and armor make you not die as fast :P

Yes I'm well aware of this. But in all honesty we live in the same place; we both connect to WoW from the same internet connection(s). And occasionally we both logon to the same computers. So while it is technically account sharing the mechanism used to determining if the account is being played by me or my GF will fail. We have multiple computers in of house and regularly logon to each computer with our different accounts. And once said GF is upgrade to wife the point will be moot.

Per the TOS though you can't share between husband and wife, only 1 adult and 1 child on the same account. Most of us don't like that policy but it's the rules. True you are probably not at a big risk (same ip, same computer, etc.) but why risk it at all? You could help your GF level her own toon(s) easily.

Edit: and with premades on the PTR she could try out 4 different classes!
