So I'm questing through Shimmering flats catching up on quests and when I am doing the silithid quests this lvl42 Paly ('http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=The+Forgotten+Coast&n=Palalicious') starts following me around. I know what he's petitioning me since he won't speak to me but is on /follow for over an hour.

Here he is on /follow and un-mounted (See the guild tag "Hellfire Kitchen"). This lasted well over an hour. I considered hearthing out but I decided I wasnt going to let this guy interfere with my plans.

Eventually I see him say "Yep" so at this point I know he's been contacted by a GM and he shortly stops following me.

If he hadn't been such a pest I would have let it go but for the length I felt he deserved to be mocked.

You can see him way out there in the back ground when he broke his follow after being contacted by the GM.

Then he starts to run ahead of me killing the vultures I was questing for hollow bones so I rub it in a bit more.

Then the harassment resumes only now hes verbally accusing me of being a scammer.
http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/8208/wowscrnshot062808225140kn6.th.jpg ('http://img179.imageshack.us/my.php?image=wowscrnshot062808225140kn6.jpg')

At this point I have multiple reason to report him so I pause my grind to return the favor.

About 15 minutes after that he rides off and about 20 minutes after that I have nice but brief chat with GM Aphoriam and he/she assures me they will take care of the problem and wishes me well.

Ok I'm done with my rant but all in all he pestered me for close to two hours. This was the worst experience for me yet. Most horde peeps find it funny or awesome but not this Douchbag, to him I'm a SCAMMER!!

WoW would be a great place to study ignorance. Automated play with botting programs has laid the perfect ground for people to unknowingly accuse multiboxers of botting, hacking, triflen, scamming, ect....

We need a Multiboxing PSA. There is one segment of the population we can't seem to reach. They don't get on the forums, they are simple minded, they are very vigilant, and they don't trust blizzards judgment.

We can blame Bliz's lack of ToS ban enforcement on Diablo2 "closed" realms.
Some people are idiots.. just ignore them. Let the GM handle it - as long as your name is on every account and you're not automating commands, you have nothing to worry about.

That's where you say, "Welcome to the Blizzard Offense Pyramid, level 1. May your journey to level 5 be quick and painful." :P

I have leveled two groups of three to 70. One of them has over 27 days played on each character. And I've never had anyone do anything like that. I have gotten a handful of "reported!" or a few "bot" accusations. Including one where the tank for a heroic I was running kept insisting I was botting and that "Blizzard will deal with you." Yes, that's right, the tank for the heroic I was in. He had no problem joining my group and tanking the whole thing, but still insisted that I was botting, it was illegal, and that I was going to be banned. Which I thought was rather funny.

The longest I've ever had anyone follow me was a Horde toon (I'm alliance) out in STV for about 20 minutes. And judging from the way he'd /cheer when I one shotted mobs or pulled and killed large groups I don't think he was reporting me. And that's on my PVP server too.

When I first started I almost wanted people to report me, just so I could gloat a little about their reports being unfounded. But now I pretty much don't care. Once you get to the higher levels it drops off, as people seem to figure out that if you made it that far, it must not be bannable.

When I was only playing a single account (incredible but true) I remember being chased by 5 hordies on Jubei Thos in Tanaris near unguro crater, my char was a mage so I was blinking ahead and just staying out of range when I finally get to the cliff wall, the hordies came running up and I had just enough time for a /wave as I slow falled off the cliff :) SUCKERS!

I would love to do that to some douchebag on /follow lol

im experiencing other kind of behavior towards me. ppl just can't understand why im leveling 5 toons.
yesterday i had an approach from a guy, asking why i was leveling 5! it's to sell ?! it's some friends accounts ?!

some ppl just can't understand that, some of us actually work and earn money to pay for 5 accounts, and yes they are ours!

when i said i wasnt going to sell, and no, all accounts are mine, and i wanted to pvp and do instaces, the guy just stopped sending whispers.

im not complaining about ppl ignorance, at all. what im complaining here is ppl's lack of education towards others, like if they ruled everything. Usually i just laugh hard on them :P
on saturday i went IF to pop some chain heal shows, and there were 2 guys that, u could say they were so jealous! one said "old" and constantly /bored all the time, and the other said "hey, i am bullied at school so i come to the internet and do chain heal stars" llololol i mean common!!! lollolol wtf!

@ Korruptor: just ignore stupid ppl. don't do anything at all and dont react to provocations.

I'm finding as I get into higher level zones I get far fewer accusations of botting or being an account seller, and a lot more people who have heard of youtube and seen 5-boxing videos. Most people now /cheer or /lol when they see me destroying mobs, and several have friended me to keep track of my progress. One guy I met in hinterlands recently asked me to help him with the Overlord quest in HFP, and was very impressed how fast we downed him.

The other night a 70 pally followed me around HFP while I was questing. After about 10 minutes I whispered her "Are you my new stalker? I put up an ad on craigslist but nobody answered yet :(" This got a laugh and started a conversation that actually went well, she was mostly just curious and thought it was really cool.

However, I did get a bit of grief from a 70 priest in shat last night, who was absolutely convinced I was an account seller and hacking in some way. The fact that I have 5 shammies in the same gear confused him very very much -- I guess some people just can't figure out how that's done. Does he think quest rewards are randomized for each player? How do you get to 70 not knowing something basic like that? To top it off these people never seem to understand (or respect) what DND means and always, always whisper a clone toon (my clones are always DND), not my lead (who is never marked DND).

But what really gets me is the automatic assumption that a) i'm cheating and b) I'm doing it to sell accounts. What are 70 toons worth anyway? A meeeeelion dollars? I don't think so. This assumption reveals much about the character of the person who's nerd raging at you -- they're people who would cheat, hack, and sell accounts if they knew how; it's what they would do, so it must be what you're doing.

My stock reply now is "I find your attitude and assumptions offensive. L2google and look up multiboxing. Enjoy ignore." and /ignore the person. I know not being able to reply and call me more names is more aggravating to them than anything else I can say :p

People will always HATE the GREAT!

I had a guy tell me last night that I was taking up space in the BG for 3 other people and that the only reason I was doing good was because I had four people following me around. Well I only have 4 shammies so this guy pegged the stupid meter (1 leading, 3 folllowing >.<) Did I point out how great I was? Did I tell him you was an F'n Moron? Did I report him? No. WHY????? Because my performance on all four of my shammies in DMG done, HKs, and Killing blows was greater than anybody else in that BG. Well Im sure we all know that its all good and dandy but while your gearing up, this isn't always the case, how then do we deal with these haters?

My Solution. Spammed at the 45s, and 15s warning.

/bg Before you ask. Yes there are Four Elektrics. (Four accounts, Different names = look closer).
/bg We run a legitimate setup with absolutely NO BOTs or HACKs.
/bg Hate me or love me but please dont follow me. Haters please see /1 in the Barrens (tell Chuck I said Hi!).
/bg After your jaw drops in awe, if you'd like learn more about how at www.dual-boxing.com

Enivitably somebody immediately starts to talk trash but the rest of the people in the BG usually back me up. They stop me from being harrassed and make the hater the hated. I think the Macro has a lot with people recognizing my Shaman Box team. And since I win about 90% of the BGs I enter, I am usually greated with /clap and /cheers as soon as people see the warning. I also get more whispers asking who Chuck is than hate.

Macros like these are priceless. I think the biggest reason and frustration with the hate chat is that we feel like we have to respond. And after you run across the 1,000,001 person who asks you about lose it! A simple macro does wonders in educating and allowing you to play more. As for the alliance, I usually flag and wait for them to do something stupid.

Just my 2 cents.

Cheers,
Elektric

I have a few blue threads in my /r macro. I used the QQMore video for a while too.

I'm afraid that to many dumbasses will come to these boards and either spam, grief or cause our mods other types of extra work.

I only refer people who are positive and curious to these boards.
