Okay, I have 2 accounts and 2 chars, for testing sakes I am using warlocks. I am wondering if I NEED any macros. Or if I put all my casts and hotkeys and shit in the same please will that work when I click it on my main char. I read a guide but not very clear about this.

I read a guide but not very clear about this.Self and group buffs don't need to be macroed, but the others do. How will the second character target the mob to attack?......I suppose you could type out: /target whateveritisyouwanttoattack everytime (That's assuming you even have the kb able to send signals to both windows.), but that wouldn't really be efficient.

I have 2 windows. I have an assist key but i only use that on the second char. it does assist and i do get casts to work most of the time. sometimes they dont for somereason. but are there any helpful macros of a 2 boxing shaman that u could give me? or tips im very very new lol... such as if i click a target to recieve a quest is there any way to accept the quest on both chars or?

I could spend sometime typing this stuff out to you, but really you should spend sometime reading and searching on your own. It will help you understand what you're reading alot better. I'm new myself and there's alot of material to absorb.
Really, I try to get the answers to alot of this stuff myself and save the stuff that I really can't find/figure out for questions.
You're kinda in the same boat as me. I dual box too and don't like to have too many macros. Since you're running two of the same class, I'll use my 2 mage settup as an example. These are the only 4 macros I use.
Mage1:
Keybind 1
- named: Target
- command: (blank)
Keybind =
- named: Lead
- command: (blank)
Keybind Shift 1
- named: Assist
- command: /assist mage2name
Keybind Shift =
- named: Follow
- command: /follow mage2name
Mage2:
Keybind 1
- named: Assist
- command: /assist mage1name
Keybind =
- named: Follow
- command: /follow mage1name
Keybind Shift 1
- named: Target
- command: (blank)
Keybind Shift =
- named: Lead
- command: (blank)
What does this do? This means that 90% of the time, I just hit 1 to target something and = to get my alt to follow. The other 10% of the time (only used on alt's part of drop quests) I switch to using my alt as my temporary main. So I use shift1 for target and shift= for follow. The rest of my buttons are exactly the same on both characters, down to their hearth stones and buff food!
this is the very reason I tell all who first start dual boxing to start with new toons. You make your own macros according to your play style. The very basics will be do you want to use FOCUS on your main or whatever other procedures others use. I personally use FOCUS then /assist focus for most of my targetting needs. Then you have ROUND ROBIN with keyclone that can be used as well for setting up certain targeting situations. THEN you have MACROS that can do the same but STAGGERED by using COMMAS .....cast spell ????,,,, then you would change the sequence of those commas on you alternates.
Thats just the tip....there are many more examples within this forum that we have used to build our setups.
