I'm not too great at the whole picture thing, plus it was late at night. That's my excuse for picture quality.

Got off work, got on to raid Sunwell, got put on the waiting list (Woot, time to build the new computer!)

My rather abysmal previous computer:

(I would do felmyst at an average of 5FPS)

All the parts for my new beauty (And a fuzzy kitty. :)) - http://dkpfiles.com/reforged/pics/128.jpg

Note: The big fan you see off the the right I ended up not using, I wasn't absolutely sure it was going to fit (I did make sure it could take an AM2 socket, but when I matched up the base plate to the CPU it didn't 'quite' cover all of it, and I try to be careful, plus I wanted to keep the warranty on the processor. It's sitting around in its package. (Either way I can't hear my machine)

And....Tadaaa! http://dkpfiles.com/reforged/pics/129.jpg

Start:
Single core CPU (Dunno clock speed, just know it's a P4, slot 478 )
2.5Gb DDR 800
ATI x1650
20Gb HDD

End:
Phenom 9850 Quad Core
4Gb DDR2 1000
250gb HDD
Nvidia 9600GT

/flex. Now I can enjoy sunwell instead of watch a slideshow. 8)

Well I WAS going to get a Radeon HD3870x2...but I figured I'd shave off about 300 dollars and get the computer anyways.

Doesn't mean I won't switch to SLi in the future. I certainly have the PSU for it. =P

Congrats on the new pc. Looks like a nice upgrade :D

What's with everyone having their cat in the photos of their boxes? I guess when I finally upgrade mine someday, I'll have to get my cat to sit there for the obligatory photo.
