Arena strategies for new L70s (Pally, Priest, Magex3)

Hello all,

I never got into the Arena system on my main (Tankadin) as there just wasn't much use for me in a good PvP group. I just got my heroic group to 70 and figured Arena might be a good place to pickup some epics for them. My primary goal is just to get some points to gear them up, but I'd like to make the best try of it possible. Is anyone having any success with a group makeup like this? If so, what specs and strategies are you using?

Right now, they are so undergeared that I doubt anything will result in a win.

Wow, ive never considered this setup as multiboxed in the arena.....
Single target is the way to go...SWP and mages shooting...
If/when 3 or more are clumped together, go for AoE...
Your biggest concern will be fear, so try to kill/silence/sheep the aoe fearers they have..

To tell you the truth, i think it will be hectic as hell :P
Not that i condem your effort, but it will be hard as hell to win with that setup as a multiboxer.
If you should succed on the otherhand, /respect

Right now I'm so undergeared that they don't even have to fear me. I don't have the burst DPS to overtask a single healer with any decent gear, so there really isn't much I can do. My team is 100% blood elf, and I only have 1 pvp trinket, so there isn't much I can do against fear either.

Im thinking of just specing to max out my arcane missiles, but I'm not sure 3 arcane overloads + 3 arcane missiles + SWP + Avenger's Shield is enough burst either...

The good thing about my setup is that the matches are over quick :-)

I have the same group makeup and am thinking of two completely different approaches:
Approach 1:
1 - name my team : ONLY HERE FOR FREE EPICS KILL US QUICKLY AS WE HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO
2 - enter arena
3 - /sleep

Approach 2:
1 - name my team : EPIC FAIL
2 - enter arena
3 - focus macros for silence,cs,cc - you may be able to keep a priest cs or silenced for ages - priceless
4 - DPS the rest starting with the lovely opening move: PoM Pyro asap
5 - go completely NUTS
6 - EPIC FAIL

remember: 3 mages =
3 Arc Blast
3 sheep
3 CoC
3 Frost Nova
3 Blast wave
3 Pyro
3 Improved Counterspell and you have a priest for silence as well
3 Invisibility

with targettaget macros for dps and using focustarget for CS/Silence/Sheep it could be not so bad.

I once played a 2x2 with another player against what I'm pretty sure was 2 multibox hunters. What they did was wait in the starting area for ages until we finally gave up and went looking for them, they nuked us. I'm thinking of using the same strategy, it was really unsettling.
