I know it sounds silly.. but i have been using earth shock forever, and was wondering if i should be using frost? or what do you guys use?
Depends on the player I'm facing. Earth shocks vs casting players, flame shocks vs rogues, frost shocks vs druids.

boxing 5 shamans i have 2 key's
first button is 3x earthshock 2x frostshock, which i use whenever needed, either to disrupt a caster (and slowing him at the same time) or slowing a melee (and damaging at the same time)
reason for 3 earth is to prevent resists, i need cast disrupts more often than a freeze
second button, 5x flame (thinking of doing 4flame, 1frost) which is used on rogues (to prevent vanish) or used in PvE for the Dmg/mana on bosses

Shapeshifting costs them time and a lot of mana, especially if they are not talented for it.

I think Talos nailed it.
Fire on rogues for the DOT, each tick would knock them out of stealth if they tried to go stealth.

6 second cooldown on a shock. That means no more spell interruption for 6 seconds... where as if you rotated your shocks across your characters... that would allow you to pretty much interrupt non-stop. Same thing with frost shock... if you rotated it.. that druid running away and shape-shifting out of "slow" would basically be stuck.
Somewhat same reason to only cast 1 flame shock... once you cast flame shock.. you're unable to shock for 6 seconds... 1 shock will keep the rogue out of invisibility just as well as 5 will.... but if you're attacked by multiple enemies (BG/Arena)... it would be better for you to have your shocks available for utility.
Just a thought. I haven't really had a chance to do any group vs group pvp... but just thinking about it... feels like it made sense to me. My macros will look something like this...
Toon1:
/castsequence reset = 6 [target=focustarget, nodead, harm] frost shock, , , ,
toon2:
/castsequence reset = 6, [target=focustarget, nodead, harm] frost shock , ,
toon3:
/castsequence reset = 6, , [target=focustarget, nodead, harm] frost shock ,
toon4
/castsequence reset = 6, , ,[target=focustarget, nodead, harm] frost shock
That should allow you to frost shock pretty much nonstop.

My Shocks, and Earthbind are already macroed:
/castsequence [target=focustarget] reset=? spell,,,,
/castsequence [target=focustarget] reset=? ,spell,,,
/castsequence [target=focustarget] reset=? ,,spell,,
/castsequence [target=focustarget] reset=? ,,,spell,
/castsequence [target=focustarget] reset=? ,,,,spell
Thinking of doing this with Lightning Bolt even (on a seperate button) as I'm wasting a lot of mana having 5x LBs hit a mob about to die (grinding, not instancing)

i Use 2x earth 2x frost on same key, nothing more to it.. The effects are needed, But, the shocks will mainly be used for DPS and the slow and interupt is a + but in 5v5 you will mostly be to stressed out to target and interupt someone with a shock... and if someone try to run off. then, let them.. the healers will be all on him so just change target fast and nuke like hell and you will drop that target in stead.
Why frost against druids when they will just shapeshift to remove it?They will try, but since I've got 5 forst shocks on a round robin cast, they won't get far.

I have Pally + 3 Shamans.
Stun interrupt: Earth Shock. cast sequenced on shamans.
Pursuit: Frost Shock. cast sequenced on shamans.
Finishing: Flame Shock. cast sequenced on shamans. For Rogues also)
For lack of creativity: /cast random all 3 shamans. :)
