Or at least this is what I was told last night as I walked Team Doublemint down to the Tailoring trainer...

I didn't get a chance to ask the guy why in gods name would Blizzard want to stop me from paying them $60 a month instead of $15...

I believe this was the same guy who started harassing me on his level 70 about being reported, however I had to do a /console reloadui between the harassments so I didn't get screenshots of the first part, it was pretty boring crap about "botting"... I refered him to dual-boxing.com but of course he wouldn't go download my keyloggers.

I wonder if the domain "customwowkeyloggers.com" is registered...

I stayed on for another few hours, the GM never came. The ONLY thing that worries me about any of this is that two of my three accounts are mine...the third is one I was given by a friend who's played WoW since Friends and Family Alpha but didn't have time to play after he graduated law school... (how the fuck did he have time IN law school I'll never know!)

Anyhow, while it is a "violation" it's also one I've NEVER heard of someone being banned for, only having difficulty recovering an account if compromised in some fashion and they couldn't get the original owners to help recover it...

Its not a violation to play more than one character at once, this guy is talking absolute shit. Report him/her for harrassment. Also if they believe that they can get "keyloggers" from visiting a website they are pretty damn noob at computers.

But yeah, having only two of the accounts registered in your name is probably not a good thing. Blizzard are fairly strict about that, so I'd get into contact with them ASAP to clear it up, try and get a dialogue going between them and the original owner to sort it out as this is the sort of thing which might come back to bite you if left unchecked.

They are a lot less strict about it than you would imagine...

About 9 months ago my guilds name was changed from "Band of the Black Hand" because some assclown petitioned and some moron GM changed it because it violated the name convention (Said it was too close to "Blackhand" which is of course a server name and a NPC name).

Anyhow, it took 9 months of working with Blizzard, but I finally got my guild names changed back. I did ALL this communication relating to the account thats named Mike ****** while my e-mail and all corrospondance was Will Dobbins...

It's no secret to blizzard that the names different on the account, so I'm not overly worried about it. And if it does come down to it I can prove original ownership as Mike (He and I are in regular contact and he'd help recover if necessary.)

i had this long spasm about his inadequacies and inability to cope... carebears, life, and dealing with idiots...

then i thought better about it.

my suggestion:

hunt & camp or ignore.

Folks, owning 2 or more accounts is NOT against thier terms and conditions. I wont even bother reading the conditions ...

my reasoning?

Blizzard offer a paid character transfer between accounts, the transfers are permitted ONLY if the accounts are owned by the same person ie in the same name.

Zanthor! I remember you now from BotBH! I was in that guild for a while. Came over when Opioid quit his guild!

you know kids who're at that sophomoric stage where they feel like they know everything, on top of which they have all the energy and time in the world to "correct" other's "mistakes?"

yah, it's pretty funny sometimes. but then there're the adults who never grew past this stage... then it gets to be pretty sad...

You get used to it. Even tonight I had the entire AV stating I was bots and they were going to report me. Rather then sit and explain everything I did what I was there to do. Top the damage, kills and healing charts while they wrote out GM tickets.

More for me =)

After 60 levels I just ignore them. Comes to the point you just don't care. I say have fun with them, say Ni hao. That just makes them even more mad

I can confirm that owning two or multiple accounts is not against the EULA, ToS & ToU. (EU).
Also have multiple accounts registered under your name is perfectly ok too.
I can only quote for the EU version.

Guess that guy forgot about the news back when Blizzard allowed people transfers characters between their accounts.

"I am reporting you for threatening my masculinity!"

I can confirm that whole between accounts thing since I used it this past weekend!

I've multi-boxed for 5+ years, and seen it all. For haters the best thing you can do is just ignore them. I'll repeat that. IGNORE them. (For fanbois, I'll play nice if I'm in a good mood. But occasionally, you'll get a real obnoxious one or some kid, and the /ignore comes out)

Ever seen that pic labeled "Arguing on the internet is like running in the Special Olympics... Even if you win, you're still retarded"? Ya. Take that to heart.

The Gm's wont come. You're not doing anything wrong. I get reported by idiots like this on a daily basis
