I've heard that some folks are running KeyClone on their mac's, and I'm interested in knowing how they are doing this..
Parallels? if so, are you running the WoW client in the emulator as well?
Basically I'm trying to find out if you are running WoW native on the Mac OS X and KeyClone in a windows emulator and if any voodoo magic is required to make that work. I'm looking at setting up OS X on my machine (MacOSx86 specifically) and seeing what I can make fly.

afaik .. people are using an emulator and run wow in the emulator.
people are doing the same thing under linux
i'm fairly certain it wouldn't work to communicate to apps outside of the emulator. if you get that working, please let me know

Ultimately I'm interested in seeing how well OSX works as a total replacement, I'm eventually looking at dropping MS from my home system entirely since I'm fed up with a specific vista bug and have been considering going to Mac's anyhow... but considering my hardware investment, I can't justify dropping $2400 on a new Mac Pro without knowing for a fact I can do what I want in OSX.

I've just recently started multi-boxing on my mac, and yeah - clonekeys is about the only solution available. Doesn't have many features - there's no pass through lists, so everything you type in one shows up in all of them. I've inadvertently waved at people 3x simultaneously many times now.
I have a little scripting/programming experience, so I keep being tempted to open the source to that and see if I can add any features, but with a 17 month old and another on the way, that may not be feasible LOL

It's clunky, but it works. Then it's just a few seconds to reset them when I need to run them solo, or as a main.
My wish list for CloneKey would be:
1. Networking - I would LOVE to use my laptop and mini to run more accounts, along with my G5. CloneKey only works on one computer.
2. Pass-through
3. Window Tiling
Failing that, I would love a mod that allows for managing several custom keybinds per character.
Another option, is to try sharing one wireless keyboard with different cpus, but I don't know how bad the latency would be.

Install Wine on your Mac ('http://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX/Installing')
Install WoW from within Wine
Install Keyclone from within Wine
That's about it. Works. Dual Core Mac with 4GB RAM and five WoW copies running, directories are symlinked to have custom Cache, Interface, and WTF folders for each running instance. Memory usage is ~ 2.59GB with five copies running and my main Window running on 1440x900 rarely gets below 50fps in the big cities.

This simply stuns me... might I ask for some more spec's on your mac? Specifically processor speed and video card? The basic model line would be great too :).

wow - yeah, I can't get anything like that sort of performance of my MBP. any more than 2 copies of WoW and the fps really suffers. I hadn't realised that the native client was sooo slow.

All running on a 24'' iMac (MB325LL/A) (see http://www.apple.com/imac/specs/). It's the 2.8GHz model with 4GB RAM inside. Nothing else changed.

So a really solid mac, but still just dual core with 4GB of ram...
I'll definitely have to give OSx86 a try when I'm back in the states and see if I can't get my quad core phenom running OSX :)... it's ironic that in the end I'll possibly be running Mac OS on PC Hardware emulating Windows and getting better performance... I'll definitely let you know how this plays out!

Well, the Mac hardware requirements are a bit high. I do have a Dell XPS M1730 with a 2.4Ghz processor and 4GB RAM which I use with Windows Vista, and Octopus to run five WoW instances. It's actually running quicker, but I guess it might be the nvidia card that runs better with WoW that the ATI card does. i have actually had some issues in terms of low FPS with ATI graphics cards on both Mac and PC.

Okies - I really do need to do more tinkering. 2.2 Ghz C2D , 4GB RAM and a 128GB 8600MGT should be able to handle a bit more than 2. :) Either that or the lesser Ghz, slower hd and smaller GCard really do make a huge difference.

I've been saving for a new Xeon tower, but I'd rather get an iMac for space issues! I figured an iMac would do 3 fine, but 5? You don't have any overheating issues?
I'm gonna have to start pricing out iMacs!
