Quests are not able to be completed in a raid?
Its a good idea. But turning in/doing quests would be an absolute nightmare.

Yeah this is only a good idea when you PvP only. I did it, but once I started dailies I had to stop.

Yup, you can't do any quest whatsoever while in a Raid.

I have been accepting, doing, completing, and turning in quests while in a raid. You must all be in the same group, and possibly there can't be more than 5 in the raid, I'll test this soon as I can.
AFAIK as long as you have everyone in the same group and no more than 5 people, you can convert to raid and do 100% everything you normally do as a party. The only difference is it won't boot you out when you DC/logoff.
Why not just make an invite macro? I have every single toon from all my teams listed in my invite macro and in the general portion rather than the personal portion. That way no matter what toons I have online atm or who I want to be leader, it's just a quick, invite button, accept button and you're good to go.

I just started using Multibox addon, and as long as they are in your friends list, they will auto accept group invites from you. So just invite and move on. Really easy.

Quests. You can't get quest drops while you are in a raid. You can kill mobs, you can carry crap from here to there, but anything that has to drop or be killed (boss), you won't get credit for it if in a raid.

Really easy.Wow, I don't think people are understanding this. I know it's really easy to get them into a group together. I have an invite/accept macro too. But I'm saying you don't even have to do that. As in, you make it a raid once, and you never have to worry invite them again. Why are people against an improvement, however small?

You will get trubble with doing quests and entering 5mans as a raid so for lvling this is not a good idea.. For pvp it might be a good thing as you can make a raid and then put icon on all your chars and then enter 5v5 and it will be the same for each match, i found that handy.
But instead of making a raid so that you can over come the lazyness of inviting them.. just make a macro on your main that invite them all. That will cost you 1, yes 1 click more :P And you will get full xp.. be able to do quest and to enter 5mans :D

5-man raid, all members in the same group: --
- can do dungeon quest
- xp comes at same rate, with party bonus
EDIT: okay im eating my own words now. I did dungeon quests in a raid, nondungeon quests do seem to have trouble :( sorry for being misleading.
DOUBLE EDIT: it is strange, some quests work fine in a raid. I did some midsummer quests, and some other ones in it just fine... but just now it wasnt letting me open a box for a quest... very odd and inconsistent.

Unless they have changed it.. the xp from being in a raid is less then a party.. allways been like that... And there is many things you cant enter as a raid.. Like 5mans and AV you will get a mesage "you are not abligated to enter this while beeing in a raid group." i dont know.. maybe they have change that reasently.. but i know that last week i needed to quite raid and remake a party yo enter an heroic.. and also when i was doing AV...
I also remeber that i had some trubble while questing when i was in a raid but i cant really recal exact what that was...

You won't get drops from quests in a raid. You are 40, go to Shimmering Flats and get scorpion poison quest. Kill 10000 scorps and then come back and appologize when you get 000 drops. Or go to pirates in Tanaris on east coast. Get quest to get their hats. See how many drop (normally 1/5). After you get 0, come back and tell us how it works better.
I could be wrong, but I have tried at least 3-5 times to do a quest while in a raid and you can't get a drop from it. You can kill mobs, or transfer stuff from one place to another, but not drops or kills of a NPC. Blizzard didn't want 40 people insta-killing stuff that was WAY to big for them and doing quest that they couldn't normally do. 5 people is okay, >5 isn't. Sorry.

Sorry. You are right, I'm sorry :( I was excited because it was letting me do regular quests and also get regular xp. I hadn't tried any collection quests since I discovered the other things working in raid.

I am not mad at you. If you find new ways to do things, please let us know. I use HotKeyNet for key broadcasting and 90% of the people here use something else. I feel like I am different. I use mob targeting for heals and focus targeting for DPS and lots of people here use straight /assist Name or /target Name for theirs. I feel different. I like what I do and am not afraid to mention it to other people. Maybe they will like it, maybe they won't. Just mention what you find to us and let us see if we like it. In other words, don't worry if people don't like your idea, some people will. So, just mention it and move on.
