 Hello all
Ive recentlı joined this dual-boxing community and have seen alot of extreme setups, so now its my turn to
show my humble setup when boxing on my computer :P
After reading some guides on how to multibox, it quicly become really old to see if my chars did have
the same quests as my main, if they disconnected, lagged or whatever, so im running dual screen
with a really really old 15" compaq screen that will be replaced any time soon (but hey, it was free  )
So here goes:

U cant see my computer but its a:
Fujitsu siemens PC
with 3 GB rams
2,6 Ghz Dual Core Processor
Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS card
- And the computer is good enough for me and good enough for quadboxing my 4 shammy's 8)

Because im so rich and take my little personal projekt a little to serious  i bought myself a laptop to multibox on, to
better the performance when playing WoW.
As you see here:
http://www.inzanedanes.dk/DSC00706.JPG-for-web-LARGE.jpg
So instead of running 4 games on the same computer, im gonna run 2 on my laptop and 2 games on my primary computer, so hopefully everything
will run more smooth, now i just need to setup keyclone and synergy on my laptop :P
IM SOOOOOO HAPPY !!!

This day ( 26 july - 2008 ) is so great!!!! Been working in my garden from 10 AM to about 5 PM, cutting down a tree, my girlfriend drives over
to her parents house, and when she came home she has bought me a FREAKING 24" SCREEN (she must have heard my complain about my small 17" that took forever
to change to screens because it needed to resize all the time using PiP in Keyclone)
So here is some pictures again, it is really starting to look like really sweet that room (my nerd room as she calls it  )
http://i320.photobucket.com/albums/nn357/JezPeRR/DSC00718.jpg

http://i320.photobucket.com/albums/nn357/JezPeRR/DSC00722.jpg
Here she gave me some decorative suggestions about how to use my screens and something about there is more wall on the left
side if u look where the window is!? so if would put one screen there, and put the labtop on the other side and bla bla bla, but here goes again
http://i320.photobucket.com/albums/nn357/JezPeRR/DSC00723.jpg

http://i320.photobucket.com/albums/nn357/JezPeRR/DSC00725.jpg
and it all works just fine, the change of screen is done in a split second, so when i die i can instantly change pictures
and keep on fighting in those BG's, DAMN I LOVE MY WOMAN!!! ;)

does your HP screen rotate? - if so turn it 90' and you will be able to see the two instances on the screen better. (my setup shown below with 2x screens this way)

Awesome screens,
I am planning on getting screens aswell just im thinking of 2 cheap ones that can rotate or one more expensive on for 4 screens, or 2 screens for 2 instances each.
Howmuch do these hp screens costs?

3 on the right are me XD -- the other 3 are my GFs
Portrait is definitely the way to go. I found it cheaper to buy a cheap monitor and get a cheap stand for it than to find a monitor that allowed rotation. I've just got two of these:

The screens are HP w2207h 22" Wide Brightview TFT £210 from Dabs.com. they have VGA and HDMI connections (no DVI ;( ) I connected them to my graphics card using HDMI with the supplied adaptors that came with each card (DVI to HDMI)

A little late news about my new screen, i must be blind or something, but my GF said the screen was 24"
when it in fact is 22", im sorry if ive hurt somebody's feelings about this (i dont think so, but who knows  )
Found out when one of my friends came by and i showed him this thread a couple a days ago, but fu** it... its still
a big screen and a present from my GF so im still happy :)

OMG!!! My screen does not rotate... but i wish now... how kreative is that setup Check the back of the monitor for a VESA mount, you may be suprised. They are generally 80 or 100mm I think and square settings, so you can buy a relatively cheap monitor stand and get the ability to vertically mount your LCD...

isnt image rotation like, a standard feature? i have it in XP, but i never bothered to use it because i never found a use for it...
I lolled at "nerd room".
I can relate :)

Now, you can rotate without a loss of FPS. In earlier video cards (pre nVidia 6 series, probably even before then although newer drivers have probably fixed that problem) , you would take a HUGE hit on framerate (making the game unplayable).
A very nice feature indeed :) A very solid setup you two have Mike and Depherios!

one point to note...
if you buy the HP monitors make sure you have some DVI to HDMI cables or Adaptors, as the monitor only has VGA and HDMI inputs (no DVI)

My humble dual-boxing setup:
http://www.ote-game.com/files/MyRoom.jpg
Started boxing with RAF, got druid/shaman 1->60 in 2d1h (very fun!) and now working on hunter/priest (not so fun, maybe I'm doing something wrong).

nice setup, i have all the X5 sounds on a soundfont and an M1 I use as a master controller  (sorry my years as working as a sound engineer are rising to the surface).
hunter / priest setup should be ez-mode ... send in pet... hunter starts firing... heal and smite with priest.. job done.
I've multiboxed with hunters and never once failed to have fun with them..
perhaps you should run two hunters at once and gift the levels later to the priest if you want one.

Quick question
How do you eliminate the 'windows' boxes around your toons mini windos?
Im running a dual screen setup. 1 for my main and toons share the other (only got 1 pc)
Ive manage to widow wow and put the slaves on extra screen but it just looks, lame. removing the outline would help tidy it up a bit

the windows borders are removed by using maximiser - you will find it incorporated into most dual boxing software

I thought about putting my spare projector in my office to watch movies and play some games. Hrmmm I might just do this. You must be living in a dorm that bed looks painful ;)
I use to take my spare projector on the road with me, maids looked at me funny when they saw me playing the Xbox with a projector against a hotel wall.
