Already one problem I see.
When hitting the X to close the program is does not fully close. Icon stays in the task bar. I got to force quit it.

Any plans in implementing a keymap override function? I for one have my A key keymapped, and I like to /dance in orgrimmar. =P
(If there is one already I apologize, I looked and couldn't find anything like it.)
/cheer Rob.

I am still missing the feature, which made it possible to PiP when override was enabled. Is there any plans to bring it back - maybe as a option?
Anyway, thanks alot for the update .. haven't played with it yet, tho.
EDIT.
o add: remember screen starting position (thx diamndzngunz for the idea!) I really thought it affected the normal window, but also the "PAUSE" box .. which pops up with override :-) Maybe that could be implented in a future update?
/cheer again!

Mouse-map is buggy as hell now. It doesnt work half the time?? I have to close out keyclone and re-open wow to get my mouse binds working. going back to old version till it gets the fix :D just letting you know.
P.S. even when it works Xbutton2 does not :|

hmm.. mouse mapping works for me.. but i'm at work and can only test it via notepad on xp pro
edit: i only have a 2 button wheel mouse.. no xbutton1 or xbutton2
My 2 favorite ones:
o add: force wow to realize it has lost focus, insuring the frame rate drops to maxfpsbk
o add: overlay window now shows dnp and rr if the do-not-pass or round-robin list is overridden
I just ran the newer version and it did indeed solve my 'license invalid' issue under a different xp64 account/login.
There is one issue though (same as previous version of KC):
When I close KC by pressing the X in the Window, it seems to do some stuff(the windows mouse cursor gets really slow) and then the KC window disappears, but the taskbar icon remains. From then on, I can't get the taskbar menu to pop up and close KC. After that I have to kill the KC process manually.
When I just close KC by richt-clicking-closing the taskbar icon first, it doesn't hang and closes nicely.
I also wonder why KC almost grinds the windows mouse cursor to a halt when closing it.
Anyway, these are just minor issues of course :)

yea.. i'll be upgrading my system shortly ... i think i'll be moving up to xp64 ... or vista 64 ultimate... we'll see.
(i'm considering something sick for my new rig.. any suggestions for a solid mainboard are welcome... i'm thinking about a water cooled dual quad core with 8+ gigs of memory and at least 2 graphics boards to drive 3 monitors ... or 1 beefy graphics board driving 2 monitors... one of which might be a 30" beast.. xzin inspired of course :D )
once i get there, i'll be better able to locate/troubleshoot such issues.

once i get there, i'll be better able to locate/troubleshoot such issues.Ah, I understand. Well, there's no hurry, but if you allow me, I would love to debug it for you.
I don't mind signing some kind of NDA, but I also understand if you just don't want to hand me any code ;)
Sounds like a beast of a setup indeed :D

Forgive if this is a silly question, but i'm out of town and can't test a new feature I see that was added:
mouse-click-passing between all client windows
o add: mouse-click-passing toggle hotkey
Does this mean that the mouse movement/clicking is passed to slave windows now?
keyclone
06-24-2008, 07:33 PM
just mouse-click passing...
and i wouldn't get too excited, it's not combat quality..
but works well for accepting quests and what not.
you'll have to set the hotkey first... there is no default (i didn't want people accidentally hitting it)
set the hotkey under keyclone/setup/general
toggle on .. you'll hear a tone.. click and watch your mouse bounce around...
toggle off.. you'll hear a different tone
note: don't move your mouse while it's clicking for you... that just won't work

I upgraded from G to K and my display is now squished/stretched in a windowed 2X2 display. Can you please point me in the direction to clean this up so the display proportions are back to "normal"? An additional note, I noticed K took the liberty in reducing the window sizes by 1 pixel and left the starting locations the same.
I also have to go into task manager to terminate Keyclone as others stated above.
Thanks

Keyclone, about 2 months ago I sprang for a 30" Samsung. It set me back a grand, but wow, it is really really nice. Now I have the 30" as my main's window and my 4 slaves are on my older 27" TV/monitor. Works like a charm.

An additional note, I noticed K took the liberty in reducing the window sizes by 1 pixel and left the starting locations the same. that would be the changes in maximizer. go to your maximizer editor, click each region... and adjust the width & height appropriately. also, set the resolution for that region to either 800x600 or 1-to-1 (there is a combo box at the bottom center which allows you to change the settings)
if you are in a 2x2 window, set the resolution to the size of the full screen.
iow, if your screen is 1650x1050, then each region should be 825x525 (this is an odd size.. but you can try this)
try setting the resolution for those regions to 1650x1050 (yes, bigger then the regions)
i hope that helps

I reset my windows to back to 840x525 (prior to is K changing them by 1) and manually entered the display dimensions.
Thank you Keyclone, really appreciate your prompt and helpful response. Everything is back to "normal" now.
 to you!

Just tested it, Always-On-Top is still not sticking. Window 1 is normal, Window 2 is always-on-top. When I swap PiP to Window 2, then swap back to Window 1, Window 2 is no longer always-on-top.

really? hmph.. that worked for me. i'll have to check it again
Hmm...I'm still having the same problem that Canasou is having. I've tried doing what you told him and it doesn't seem to be helping at all.
Basically My main screen has 3 instances running on it...
top half - my main
botton half - is split between my 1st and 2nd alts.
The bottom half is fine due to the fact that the regions are square, but the top half is streched way the hell out since it is a rectangle shaped covering the entire top half.
Any clues wtf I need to do to fix this so I can have the entire top half visible but not all streched out?

Heya Tdog,
exit all your wows
go to keyclone/setup/maximizer and try setting the region resolution to 1-to-1..
then restart all your wows.
let me know if that helped

let me know if that helpedLOL I did that very thing like 15 times and it didn't work once. Just now tried restarting my computer and remaking the regions using 1 -to- 1 before using the region and it's working properly again :) /shurg o well thx a bunch Rob :D

I always encounter a bug when exit on vista x64... everything seems to exit fine but if I try to relaunch Keyclone a 2nd time it says that another instance of keyclone is already running ...
another bug when keyclone is sent to the tray .. no way to let get out .. only way is to force quit it by ctrl-alt-suppr
that's a lot of bug for a new release ...
I found a bug:
When saving and loading the maximizer settings where the different windows have a key with a modifier(add, lshift-add, ctrl-add, lshift-ctrl-add) it discards the modifiers when loading the data back in.
So on each window it just appears as 'add'.

You're not supposed to run keyclone on the same machine twice. I can't see why you would want to do that.

I have a similar problem on my x64 Windows XP. Keyclone is a 32 bits application and it hasn't been tested on a x64 bit platform yet. Have patience, the developer told me he's going to get an x64 machine.

@king.pa
yes, the hang-on exit bug has already been reported. you can exit cleanly by right-click the tooltray icon and select exit
a second keyclone will not run as long as another is in memory... unless you specifically allow for it under keyclone/setup/misc/able-to-run-multiple-keyclones
please re-word / re-explain ...
A minimal set to reproduce:
1) Set up maximizer and create 2 regions
2) Bind the following keys to the regions: add(+), shift-add
3) Save maximizer settings to a file
4) Load these settings back into keyclone
5) Observe how the keybinds to the regions now both are: add, add
There is not shift-modifier anymore on the second region.

this has been fixed and will be available in the next release
