I guess I'm experiencing this more now that I'm doing quest for rep/gold since I leveled almost solely in instances but some are just too good to not share.
Anyhow, in Hellfire Peninsula I'm doing "The Finest Down" quest collecting Kaliri Feather which if you've ever done, you know is another collection quest PITA. In addition to killing the birds for the feathers you can mess with the nest eggs to spawn an additional bird to kill for feathers. I was in the process of doing this and as soon as the bird spawned, this hunter stole it. So follows the conversation: (I should take screen shots of this stuff)
Me: That was a dick move?
Cupgirl of Duskwood (Alliance): Haveing fun 5-boxing?
Me: Yeah, I guess you think that entitles you to be a ninja.
Cupgirl: Yeah.
Me: You mind explaining that logic to me?
Cupgirl: I lost to a 5 boxer in 5v5.
Me: You just made my day, I hope stealing that bird made you feel better.
I told her she must have serious issues to which she responded "Oh noes....../wrist."
The conversation goes on and she ignores me, so of course I just whisper her with another toon.
Me: Though I'm really enjoying this, one last question, do you remember who you lost to?
Turns out she lost to a Druid, Magex4 team in the 2000 bracket. Another butt hurt loser I guess. I told another boxer on my server, Oneglaze, about it, and he whispered herX5 "So I hear you like boxers?" LOL. She responded something about "Yeah they rockorz!"
To whoever runs that team, grats to you. On a separate note, can a legite 2000 bracket team really lose to a 5 boxer?

Simple response. Can you please stop stealing my kills and please stop bothering me with whispers. Then Prey they do not listen to you then report them. It's good times.
Duskwood is so full of fail, especially alliance side. It saddens me that I wasted a year of my playing time on that server. Nothing personal to you, just in general I really hate that server.

Not for "play nice" reasons, but she could file a petition for harassment and get a warning on your account and the accounts of the person who spammed her with whispers. Don't let people who are butt-hurt over losing in a video game find ways to work the system against you. I am pretty sure that stealing a kill from you did not make her heartache over an arena loss go away, so you win by just ignoring her.

Yeah, I'll generally say one whisper with the other toon and if they don't respond I drop it.
Just as an update to the crap I've been seeing, I got called "fags" last night as well as gold farmers twice. Some people really are retarded.

I'm fairly new at MB and am amazed at how some people react to you right off the bat. Just walking out of a city someone /spit on me for no reason. I have been called gay, fags, gold farmer, bots, you name it. I think the majority of these people think you are running a bot or speak chinese and woudn't understand what they said. Who knows.
I find I take a lot of time out of my XP generating activities to just talk to people and explain what I am doing. That in itself is a pain in the ass but it seems to pay off. After a week of MB on one server I ran into the same people a lot and they always stopped to chat. I notice there are a lot of players that add me as friends and just whisper to see how things are going. So, not only do we have 5 mouths to feed (quests, gear, class training, prof training, etc) we also have to spend a lot more time on other BS.

My solution to this? I click my Combat window tab and leave my chat channel tab in the background on my main screen... it's almost as good as an ignore without having to go through the pain of ignoring them...
Also, with my new foursome, just getting out of the Draenei starting area, I tended to stick away from the "hotspots" for questing... except for killing the blood elves. Kinda hard since they're in one spot, but I went up the right side of the hill whereas most folks shoot up the left side. If I see someone running for something (mining node, etc) or targeting what I have targeted, I just move on. Unfortunately, most kiddies don't realize Azeroth (and Outlands) is a rather large place.

Get used to it. I have people stopping me that I vaguely recognize, but they're constantly reminding me of how I helped them in some way..
Multiboxing is a quick way to celebrity status on your server.. just ignore the paparazzi.

Fleecy and I have become a bit famous on our server - mostly due to his "show offs" and explanations. It is getting so as if someone picks on us in General or say now, someone else is likely to defend us before we get a chance to. It's quite nice. It would appear we are two of about 6 MBers on our server tho we've only ever seen one other. Probalby a time zone thing.

LOL, I remember that hunter. I have to agree, on Duskwood, we do have a rather large group of assholes. But I do enjoy running into Aradar and having conversations in /say on who the bigger hacker is and that always draws a crowd. While grinding to 60, I was having nothing but complaints and asshole remarks. Since in outland, it hasnt been too bad, especially taking out 70's who are flagged for pvp! =)
And Tdog, I know Duskwood can be full of fail at times, but its still home!! Or until I decide to transfer the shammy's elsewhere =P
