Any tips on software for video editing and also can someone please tell me how to shrink the movies down to an acceptable size. I am using fraps and a 2.5 min video is like 1.5gb
Any links to a good tutorial would be fine. Im not asking for handouts but ive never done anything with vid editig or compression and need a place to start. Thanks

For pure video editing I can't go past Virtual Dub ('http://www.virtualdub.org/') - tis free and it works - used it a lot in BF2142

Especially like the fact that I can convert a movie into a series of frames. This works a treat when I take a movie of anything on the net as I can pick the exact frame for whatever I want to do.

I also came across similar problems like yourself with the pure size of my finished movies though on my vista 64 machine - tried heaps of compression codecs but none produced a quality I was happy with. Perhaps someone else has had better luck?
