View Full Version : Lock/Mage/Priest for tri-boxing?
I am starting to tri-box a Lock, mage, and a priest. The lock will be affliction, mage fire, and priest shadow.
The shadow priest will have buffs for the lock for shadow damage, and would heal the group, also Fort and such, and ressing.
The mage will supply food/water/ports.
The lock would have SS for the priest, an imp for Blood Pact, healthstones, and we could summon people that aren't 70 to islands on Nagrand :D
Thoughts/stories on this?

I think that would be a pretty strong combo.
A lock is great for levelling, combine that with heals from a priest (and power word shield) and you will be laughing.
The synergy between lock and shadow priest would be good - Make sure you get ISB in destro too when you can.
In addition your mage is going to ensure your food costs are negligible (if you are horde then go undead , cannabalize is great). Plus will of the forsaken.
the mage brings extra cc - so polymorphs and freezing mobs in place when things go bad.Fortitude buff and intellect buffs also nice. Make sure you get the buffs on your pet too if you are dark pacting the imp (at later levels).
You are going to have fear/seduction/ howl of terror options too. not to mention psychic scream.
What are you plans for this group long term - PVP/PVE?
Prolly BG's.
Might try to farm SP or Ramps.
They could all AOE farm, mage - blizzard and nova, lock - SoC, priest - holy nova to heal and damage :P
Could try 3's, might be harder though.
They are all undead, all mohawks, just different colors
Or maybe I could spec the lock destro, for the ISB and the stun, the spriest could get blackout, and mage could get the fire stun, 30% chance for a stun each cast...hm..
