Move the chars to your right & left?

Hi there, i'm new to Dual-Boxing and i'd just like to say that I love it, altho i'm just using it casual atm.

Anyway, i'm using 1 PC and Octopus and i've seen people splitting their characters so they stand on the left and right sides of their main character. I would like to know how, is it that they break follow or something or what? I saw this in example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUzeaN3XLYo when he's about to fire of a few fireballs he makes his characters to get on his both sides before he does it. I'm just curious how to do it, it doesn't seem to be anything special about it. But could be nice to know. (Can never know too much) :) Anyway, if any of this makes sense to you. I'm greatful for nice responds. Thanks! :)

you can actually do this in the game using keybindings

push escape and go to keybindings, click on the Strafe left secondary button and bind it to a new key 'Page Up' or any key you want

you will do this differently on each character. Soooo

main X

aX bX cX

if this is what you want have your Main character do nothing. character A will strafe left, character b do nothing and character c strafe right. now if you bind strafe left on character a to page up, and strafe right on character b to page up. when you tap page up you will get the formation listed above

I used 2 hours figuering out that this could not be done with macro's ;)

like it is written u just bind strafe left and right to one button :rolleyes:

JezPeRR, mind sharing that macro if you have it? I mean, OK it works to do that in the keybindings, but I would so much more prefer a macro. Appreciate if you share it =)

You can't macro movements. They are keybinds only.

i wrote that i used 2 hours finding out that there is "NO" macro for spreading out ;) ^

Mallene is my main char so just add me... what server are u boxing on ??

Ahhhh JezPeRR, I didn't see that "not" :P well, I just transfered by Shammy to Burning Legion, since my brother and friend rerolled there. But I've just multi boxed casual so far. Nothing serious, been level 4 as the most. My PC can't do more than 1-2 copies of WoW without lagging like hell. So if I would start boxing for real someday it would be when i've got myself a new PC. Thanks for replying to my thread though, appreciate it, to all of you.
