Hehehe, I was just trying to find documentation online for a hud I use while playing poker so I could try to work out a new layout for it while not at home and came across the following QQ related to players using software to keep track of their stats, and those of their opponents, while using a HUD to display those stats in realtime to the tables they are playing on.

The problem is that there’s a bunch of add-on programs for Poker Tracker that directly effect your play at the table. Programs like PokerAce HUD and GameTime+ overlays everyone’s Poker Tracker stats directly on the table. Combine this with a hand history miner, like IdleMiner, and you automatically know everyone’s ROI, preflop raise percentage, aggression factor and more.

Now it’s like a boxing match where one fighter has gloves on and the other’s wearing iron knuckles. It’s not fair or ethical!

Poker sites love these programs though. It brings in the multi-tabling players who play 30,000+ hand per week. In the long run it can only hurt though. The games will get tighter as more players realize they can play almost statistically perfect with the help of certain programs. Players will just pass their chips back and forth resulting in smaller wins and bigger overall losses for everyone.

The solution is for the poker sites to simply ban the use of any real time Poker Tracking tool. Without these bot-like players everywhere, games will get looser and there will be more opportunities for players to capitalize on pure poker skill. The online poker ecosystem will return to normalcy once again.

Is there like a QQers bible or set of rules somewhere that lay down the arguments they should use at all times?...or is there like some form letter generator that you just put in what you are qq'ing about and it formats it all nicely for you?

I don't think I would compare that to multiboxing. Yeah, people compain about many things. Yeah, its dumb.

Poker- there is a mathematical approach to know the statistical odds of card pulls and hands. There is also a human element of reading a player. I would argue that reading a player is nearly impossible online. A heads up display of statistics <> a level playing field in this case, though anyone could use any tool (book, program, pocket poker pro :P) to assist them in playing their poker hands- it would not need to be a HUD.

Multiboxing- a player pays for 5 accounts and attempts to come close to achieving what 5 individual people can do. They only gain on a level of communication (no deliberation).

I don't really see the co-relation.

So far on Doomhammer I haven't encountered any haters, but I'm still early 20s. Most people so far think it's cool. As far as I know I'm the only MB on the server.

I just had a thought (I know, shocking...and yes, it was painful). If these people have stat trackers that can keep accurate stats on everyone, what does that tell you about the size of the population in that community?
