Acceptable signature dimensions

Hey,

Been playing a fair bit making different avatars, et al., and am about to create a signature. Problem is, the sig uploader doesn't seem to list an accepted upload size (pixels and kbs).

Had a look at a few sigs on the forums - all different sizing - is there an acceptable size standard?

Search did suggest a 20kb limit - any limits on dimensions?

No matter - found it after trying to upload a sig

FYI - 530 x 200 pixels, 20kb

Is it worth posting the dimensions somewhere close to the siggy area for others to see?

Just got the educational version of CS3 Creative Suite and the thing is fantastic - have no idea how to use 99% of the stuff but learning fast

I've been learning photoshop on my own for 12+ years on and off and I still have tools I don't know how to use properly. I'm glad the internet is exploding with tutorials and videos these days though.
