Hey,
I'm new to multiboxing, I'm trying to do mage/mage combo.

I am constantly getting the second character to run away from me, and I have been searching the forums for a while to find out how to stop the 'runner', but I can only find this thread:

Yet another 'We've got a runner!' Keyclone? problem ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=8305')

Could anyone help me out here?

Could anyone help me out here?are you trying to move each character or are you having 1 be the main and 1 follow the main always?

I have 1 character as the main and the other as the one following.

and 1 just randomly runs off? during spells, following, what?
You could be passing numlock through keyclone making the second character run.. if that's the case put it on your DNP (Do Not Pass) List in keyclone.

When my 'main' character is running, just straight, the secondary one will go straight but not the same direction as the main.
Also, when turning to fight a mob, most of the time, the secondary character doesnt turn all the way.

Do you use follow?

Do you pass the w or up-arrow to the "clone"?

This very occasionally happens to me as well.

I don't pass ANY movement keys to my followers at all, so I'm not sure how they're doing it, and it's so occasional I haven't been able to find a pattern to it yet either.

Basically what will happen is a single follower will break follow and go running off in the direction they're facing.

Why it happens is a total mystery to me (and it's so infrequent that it's not a real problem - once it wiped me, but ah well).

My experience almost exactly mirrors of OzPheonix. I haven't been able to find the exact pattern yet, but it does seem to be related to mousing between windows. (I'm using keyclone and keyclone's maximizer). Part of the difficulty with this whole runner issue is that there are any number of things that can be user related to cause it. Most of the time I get it... by far most of the time, it's becuase of a 1-dee-ten-t error. But occasionally it happens, and I know it's a bug of some kind.

At first, when it happened, I was having a VERY difficult time getting the runner to stop. I could hold down the "back-up" button and the runner would stop, but as soon as I released it, off-he'd go again, so I know for sure it's not an auto-run issue. (Backing up turns off auto-run) I finally figured out that, strange as it seems, if I click back over to one of the other windows, (one of the windows that doesn't have the runaway), the the runner will stop.... weird. But I haven't been able to replicate the issue consitently.
