Fedex; What A Headache...

Alright, so here I was getting off work today, with no real hope of getting my Fedex Package today but then I see when I check my order that it is in Calgary, AB (About 6 hours drive from my city, Regina). This was supposedly at 6:37AM well, then the following comedy ensued.

Now, I can deal with it having to clear, but what I do not understand what so ever is... it leaves Lansing Michigan, comes to Calgary Alberta. Seemingly stuck in Customs for 6 hours. Mysteriously appears in Memphis, Tennessee (umm WTF Fedex!?). And then it took a amazingly quick flight (Maybe a B52 Bomber air dropped it back in Calgary?) and now once again STUCK in customs. If it made it out of customs, what is the point of going through again, let alone WHY send it back to Memphis WHEN ITS ALREADY IN CANADA! I mean, I could understand if after Lansing it went to Memphis to their sort facility, but why Calgary then go back to Memphis, only to go back to Calgary.

All I know is, whatever Fedex is smoking I want some, cause it must be some good shit! If anyone else has a story like this I would love to hear about it, usually I love Fedex, but this time, it has just blown my mind hole.

PS. This is a shipment for my Xkeys Pro... I wish it would of come today, but it supposedly shipped "Fedex 2Day Box" so, I would think hopefully tomorrow, if they checked the delivery on Saturday, and if not should be Monday.

LOL! Be thankful it's just US<-->Canada shipping. I could tell you stories of shipping stuff to PC ODMs in China that would make your toes curl. To give you an example, due to onerous taxation when shipping salable goods between _provinces_ in China, we (when i was working for an unnamed PC ODM based in Shenzhen, China ('http://www.pmptoday.com/2007/08/13/apple-ipod-iphone-manufactured-in-fantabulous-outsourcing-city/') ) would actually hire herds of bicycle delivery people to bike computer parts across town from our suppliers to our factories because shipping through a real shipping company would have almost doubled the price. And if you saw some of those "delivery bicycles" up close and saw how much shit they stack on them, holy crap...ROFL.

Update, it WENT BACK TO TENNESSEE, I am going to be calling to find whats happening.

I think EVERY package from FedEx goes to Memphis. That is their hub. Even from Tenessee, it goes to Memphis, from Mexico, Memphis, from California going to California, it goes to Memphis. Sorry. So it probably went to a local departure place from Michigan which was in Canada and then went to Memphis to get routed out. It is probably routed out to Canada again, but not actually sent yet (it might show in Canada, but it might mean on way to Canada).

Well, I can understand that it has to go to Memphis a couple times, but why twice, that is what makes no sense to me at all. Especially cause now, it will have to go through Canada Customs a third time, I am going to be calling them shortly for info on the product, hopefully they will have a for sure answer for me.
