Hi guys,

Just wondering what your favourite starting area is? As a horde player, mine used to be the BELF starting area becuase it had the best quest rewards. But now with the huge rep increases for quests in other starting areas, I have gone back to the orc/troll area - mainly because I want epic raptor mounts at 60. :P

What's you fave starting area?

Cheers,
Stealthy

Favourite for me is Undead. No idea whether it's the most efficient (Tauren starting area blows for MB'ing), but I just like it the most.

Orc/Troll is my favourite.

Never rolled undead before. Blood elves was ok, it was quick levelling there (1boxing).

*Draenei* starting area rules! ;) Blizzard did an awesome job with quests in that zone. I love the architecture in the Belf starting zone though, very nice.

I like the Belf starting area too but I just can't get into horde, tried a number of times and I've got baby hordes scattered across a number of servers, lol.

Starting areas in order of preference

1. Undead - just seems to have a wonderful progression and lots of quests without huge amounts of travel.

2. Blood elf - Very similar to the undead area, lots and lots of quests without a bit more travel than undead

3. Orc/ Troll

I hated the tauran starting area - I tended to kill off the characters prior to them hitting 10. I finally persevered and got a tauren out of the starting area and in to the barrens but it's not great.

I just cant do alliance - my highest alliance is probably a 16 and I always end up deleting them - I am horde at heart.

My favorite place isthe Human starting area. I like it because it's flat. I haven't run horde much, but the Belf area was waaaay nicer than the tauren area. The Draenei starting area is pretty nice too, but it's just so far out of the way. I also want matching mounts on all my characters (4 races in my team) so I wanted them all doing the same quests ASAP.

I say the belf area... it is so easy to lvl to 20 there. Maybe the OP can put a survey up with the different starting areas.

Starting areas in order of preference

1. Undead - Everything is so close to together. And the quest are just kewl to me. I love killing the Scarelt Crusade people for some reason.

2. Orc/Trolls - I just know thew quest so it does not take me very long to do them.

3. Tauren - This has to be my least favroite. That place is to damn big.

Oh and I cant play blood elfs. I dont know why, they have great racials but I just cant get into them. The allaince areas are ok I guess as well, but once again I just cant play them right now for some reason.

I prefer Hord so I have to say Blood Elf.

It well designed and gives a nice items. The Storyline is also very nice.
The extra faction is a nice touch.

Draenei have some very nice quests and a good story line but the itemization is not as good and it does not feel "well guided".

By far the gnome/dwarf area... and the BELF area just rocks for drops (tons of bags) and alot of fast easy quests..

Horde: Orc/troll
Alliance: Human, even tho i've done that area a billion times.

I like Dun Murough... I don't know why, but those Christmasy winter graphics have always appealed to me in every game I've played.

I consider Scarlet Monastery: Cathedral my "starter area". :)

The Orc area is my favorite though. Beating Peons FTW!

I have to say the BE starter area only because if I have to play through any of the other Horde areas again I will probably gouge out my eyes (Durotar/Barrens *puke*). And now I have completed the BE area 3 times. Tranquillien is very cool, but it's starting to get old.

I can't wait for the Death Knight, and I assume that Eastern Plaguelands will be our new starting area :P I am leveling a team to 55 and parking them there to prepare.

By far the gnome/dwarf area... and the BELF area just rocks for drops (tons of bags) and alot of fast easy quests..The Draenei starting area seems to drop bags more often as well, compared to the other Alliance starter zones but yeah it is "out there" and not close to anything. I recently started a Draenei warrior and a sixth shammy so I summoned my warrrior to SW to pass off a fiery non-binding cutlass and fiery non-binding shovel (lol) and bags and gold then, learned weapon skills, got flight path, trammed to IF to do the same then hearthed back to the starting area to quest.
