I've been bearing with my issues, whenever something goes wrong i just restart the programs.
Just wondering if anyone knows the solution to these.

1 computer is XP, the other Vista (i run both programs "as administrator")

Synergy
Randomly stops working. In that when i move my mouse to go to the next screen, it doesn't move go over.
At the beginning it works, 5 minutes, 13 minutes or even an hour later it just stops working (its seemingly random),
There are no errors in the synergy logs.
Keyclone
Stops working across the network, on each computer it works. The only way to fix it is to restart the programs. Usually 1 of them is locked up and won't close unless forced to (task manager)

Ugh.. i'm such a nub.. the problem with Synergy was i kept pressing scroll lock by accident. It's right next to pause which i use tons!

Keyclone problem is still a mystery

Same problem with Keyclone here.
Been going on for a while now.
Doubt it will be fixed. Seems there is only 3 people with the problem.

I'm also experiencing some keyclone 'hangs'.

The problem only appears when I'm closing down after playing, and I close the keyclone window. The keyclone windows disappears, but the applet in the tray still stays, and when I right click it, the menu does not appear, and I have to kill keyclone with task manager. I have to kill keyclone before I start another keyclone session.
In addition, as I close the keyclone window my system slows down for a few seconds, as memory is released, and the drive(s) work hard for a few seconds as well.

I did not have this problem when I used 1.8k, BUT... I was not using the integrated maximixer back then, I used the standalone maximizer and a batch file, instead of keyclones integrated maximizer, as I wanted the PiP functionality in keyclone :D

I run 3 WoW instances on 1 machine, so I only use 1 keyclone.

@Lyrix
i have been working to resolve the issue.... repeatedly saying how it won't be fixed in numerous threads won't make it get fixed any faster. basically, i have zero information on reproducing the bug... yet i am expected to resolve it. yea, that's a bit crazy... but i'm doing what i can to resolve it.

@Techtroll
if it hangs on exit, my guess is you're on vista. go to the keyclone folder and right-click/properties... make sure the admin and user permissions match. that should do it.

i'm hoping for a release this weekend

Someone earlier was suggesting that it might help if i show the information from task manager of the BEFORE and AFTER of keyclone dying.

Well here's that information, hope it helps
BEFORE (working)
keyclone.exe
Mem usuage: 2,540 K
VM Size: 3,456 K
Handles: 935
Threads: 11
GDI Objects: 86

AFTER (not working)
keyclone.exe
Mem usuage: 3,152 K
VM Size: 4,256 K
Handles: 3,528
Threads: 11
GDI Objects: 86

Edit: When i say it dies, i mean the keyclone on my main refuses to connect (same if i connect from slave computer). If i close keyclone it locks up and refuses to leave without killing it from task manager (this is also windows XP)

i'm hoping for a release this weekendAfter buying new pc's and trying everything you would be the same im sure...
It's pretty simple i've bought the program and it should work.
If the problem was one of my pc's then i wouldnt be asking here but it isn't... it's a keyclone problem so yes i keep looking around here
and my hope getting smaller everytime i try something ;-)

I'm actually experiencing what appears to be exactly same problems as Techtroll above. I also am running a single instance of keyclone, on Windows XP. I am not using Synergy. The part about Windows slowing down - is actually quite unusual and not something I see with any other applications. My mouse cursor and keyboard will actually pretty much stop responding for multiple seconds - I can't even move the cursor (!). Other times I will hit the 'X' to close Keyclone, and it stops responding but the keyboard and mouse are still responsive - in these cases I usually task kill Keyclone. I think there are also some cases where it appears to close, but the process hasn't exited completely - it will still be showing in systray for example.

I'll try to keep a log of what happens and the circumstances so that I can provide more useful info on the problem. Hardware setup is Asus P5NE-32 SLI MB, Intel Q6700 CPU, 3GB ram, XfX 8800 GTS.

I just got home from work, and I thought I'd killed the Keyclone task, but found that it's still running, so I'll make a few screenshots that may or may not be useful. I'm no programmer so I can't say, I just work in OS/App support :D

A few images from Process Explorer and Task Manager:

Performace tab -

Task Manager -

I do unfortunately not have any Task Manager details from the time before Keyclone hung up.

Generally I cannot see any changes over a short time other than WS Shared and I/O Other. I/O Other is where the spikes on the I/O Bytes performance graph comes from.
I/O Other is increasing by 1 every 4 seconds or so. This may be normal.

System Information:
OS: Windows XP Professional with SP2.
HW: Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro SLI with AMD 3700+ and 3GB Memory. BFG 8800GT and Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty

*Edit:*
I did a quick check after I'd killed the process, and started a new process. I simply started all wow instances (all on the same computer), and logged in (I never entered the game), then closed them all, and closed the keyclone window. For a few seconds the system were not usable, as the mouse disappeared. The Keyclone window disappeared, but the icon in the tray remains, along with a process in the process list. Neither can I access the keyclone menu from the applet in the tray, it does nothing if I right-click it.

There are no I/O spikes in the performance graph, even if I/O Other is still increasing by 1 every 4 seconds.

I've attached my keyclone.ini file (replaced login name with 'username'). Also had to change the extension from ini to txt.
