Hey mates,

I bought me a laptop 2 days ago and since it runs better with wow then my current pc I`m hoping to use it for my boxing setup.

That would mean the main char on the laptop and the 3 alts on the pc with a 22inch monitor. Is there any other tool besides keyclone that you use for that?
If so, some hints would be sweet.

Thanks in advance,

David

I used mice at first (just button4/5 thumb buttons). It sucked, but that is all I knew. I found this website and researched a little. I found HotKeyNet (www.hotkeynet.com ('http://www.hotkeynet.com/')) and really liked it. It is simple, effective, free. If you have any questions, just ask here or there (they have forums).

HotKeyNet.com

QFT! HotkeyNet (http://hotkeynet.com) is a great piece of software for multiboxing. Freddie has developed a thorough refence section (http://hotkeynet.com/ref/functions.html) which has good descriptions of all the commands you can use to help make your toons do what you want them to do. There is a Quick Start Guide for WoW (http://hotkeynet.com/wow/wow-quick-start.html) to help get you going.

HotkeyNet has its own Forum (http://hotkeynet.com/phpBB3/index.php) so, if you get in a jam you can get quick answers.

Thanks for the links guys, i downloaded it but could not get to my pc tonight. Woman needed it.

How does it work with the mouse? Can you use your mouse in both screens or just the main?

With HotkeyNet you can only send mouse clicks to the remote machine. I use Multiplicity (http://www.stardock.com/products/multiplicity/) along with HotkeyNet for mouse/keyboard switching. Other HKN users like KaVoom KM (http://kavoom.biz). However, I believe Octopus (http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=1906) offers that feature and Synergy (http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=30) as well. So, your choices are many! Let us know what you settle on, eh?

Mr. K? I beg to differ. HotkeyNet can send mouseclicks to any windows anywhere.

With HKN you click on one WoW window and the others get clicked in the corresponding spot nearly instantaneously (there's a delay of perhaps 6 to 30 milliseconds depending on the speed of your PC and video card).

The windows can be on any PC's, they can be different sizes, they can be partly covered, etc.

I also use Multiplicty and love this program.

I use it outside of WoW also.

Yikes! I am SO sorry, Freddie for my careless wording! Sometimes, I are quite the stupid head.

Bah, it's nothing. I have trouble remembering how the program works myself. :)

So I could basicly just loot by putting a second mouse next to me. I would be okey with that as well.

Octopus.

I use two PC's for my 5-boxing; Main on one PC and four clones on the other.

Octopus is perfect for this and you don't have to buy two licenses for it.
