Hunter is the easiest to level up quickly.

beastmaster hunter

just autoshot at the mob to take him down
use your mana to heal your pet

no downtimes because of low mana

Go lock, and go Orc or go home :)

Alliance is a newbcircus. I have a Fem Orc Lock Felhate on Rexxar. Here is her link.

Orc is the best Lock race now. It wasn't before they changed the racial to include spell damage.

Here is the why you want to go Orc -

Command - 5% Increased Pet Melee Damage
Blood Fury - Increased spell damage for 15 seconds - scales as you level :)

ALSO - Orc Chic locks are a minority, so you will stick out the most :)

Roll a class and race that you like!

Personally I'd never roll an Orc or Human because I think they're both ugly (especially human animations, every time they jump I cringe). I don't much like Gnomes either but difficult to make an alliance lock without :?

As for the rest, a great player single or multi is defined not by his or her class, race, gear or tradeskills but by how they play. Witness most Ebayed characters, they might have phat l00t but they can't play for toffee.

My favourite character currently is my Hunter who is as cookie cutter as they come, Male Dwarf, with a pig for a pet.

But the minute I have to play this game a certain way to get anywhere, as could be suggested from your post, will be about 2 seconds before I quit for good. :P

((Not trying to start an argument or anything, just what I think about this game... and most others.)) :D
Edit:
Meant to add any class can be boring, most fun I have had in game so far (apart from totally new stuff in Azurmyst with shamans) is with my Hunter, I'm always out of mana, I explored Un'goro at about level 41 and Silithus shortly after, I attack and mainly beat things that no-one in their right mind would (mainly +3-4 elites), I give my pets odd names (Dostoyevsky and Neitzch (spellings) at the moment).

The fun in this game is derrived from playing the game your way, if thats about being identical to everyone else then go for it, but you can have fun on non-cookie cutter builds or 'boring' classes. :D
