Does anyone of you have a link so i can do a bit of research? Im trying to play from one computer with two accounts, when i try to run it with keyclone, both my chars run in opposite directions, must be doing something wrong. Ihav

The below was not posted specifically for you. Just linking it to help you.

Is there a thread devoted to people who might want to start multi-boxing, but have no clue about it? ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=73222#post73222')

Have you read the wiki? It sounds like your movement keys are bound on both accounts. See if this helps:

I have been wanting to do this forever. I still can't really. But going to try. I am on a dual-core laptop. So that limits my mouse features to 2-keys. I have my keyclone setup to the best of my abilities.

Now I have read through most of the Noob stuff and to the best of my knowledge I am ok with how things work. My issue is. Keys? What macros do I use? Assigned to what keys.

I am running a Druid (Feral) as my main 40 and a shaman (Enhancement) 29 alt. I would do three once I get this down. But a bit of help.

Once I switch to bear form then 1=attack, 1=attack on shaman. My problem= now what? what would keep me alive the best. I know how to create macros and working on target focus now. But which keys would be best for which abilities.

I know noobish but if you don't ask then you don't know.

Or does it make a difference really. But as I said I am on a laptop, cause all of my PCs at home are crap.

Thanks you guys ROCK HARD!!!!

It helps to know the classes that you want to play. If you want class synergy you really need to know their strengths and weaknesses. I would start by figuring out how you'd solo each class, then work those skills together into complementing macros.

I don't know much about shamans and druids as I have neither of those classes above level 20. But I'll give you examples of my warrior + paladin combo.

Solo, I want my warrior to charge in, pop bloodrage/trinkets/shouts and then spam heroic/mortal strike. I also want hotkeys set up for sweeping strikes + cleave in case I get more than one mob (or I am aoe grinding). On my paladin, I want to seal/judge of the crusader, pop seal of command (or righteousness), and occasionally hammer of justice + judge command. I consecrate when I have multiple mobs.

Already, you can see there is a pattern between both of them. There is a sequence for meleeing single mobs, and they also have aoe talents. If you break down your classes this way (looking at them from a solo perspective) you'll start seeing what you want to do, and hopefully how to build your macros.

I recommend you to read the pdf file in Beginners Guide 2 Dual-Boxing (3,4,5 boxing) ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=3339') , helped me get it up and running in notime! AND I had a epic hangover when I did it ;)

Im a really noob in multoboxing myself, but I've spent hours ingame to config my keys to get it to feel right for me. Dont think theres a general solution to this.
And as you level, theres are new skills and macros to config, so it's pretty slow so far :P

Buw check out the Wiki, theres some good tips in there about macros etc.

FINALLY!!! i got it working i dualboxing atm :D Now have to reconfig my other computer so i can start tri boxing :).

Thanks all for your help

Little Note, cant seem to get maximizer working properly. I open up my first account, it fills up half the screen like it supposed to do. But than i start my 2nd account it starts windowed and fills up the other half. can this be unwindowed?

Ok, I played for the first time today after all of the setup not too bad.

Druid/Shaman

Spells:

YATA doesn't work to well for me. Doesn't auto assign the totems so I am going to macros.
With the druid in bear form you have to attack the MOB first to put aggro on you, then you have to have something to be able to attack it with. Cat form is better.

Moving:

Had trouble with moving around but got that down. (Hint: Keybinding, keybinding, keybinding)

Problem: How do I pass loot to the alt??? My bags are full and I need a place to put stuff. (Hint: Get big bags when you are running.)

Leving is an issue too, I will level the Shaman up to 35-36 and that should allow them to lvl together again.

Thanks for everything. This is TOO SWEET!!!

:D
