Hey there,

I'm really interested in multiboxing. Ideally, I'd like to do 5 WoW accounts at once. I was wondering if you could take a look at my specs and let me know if I'm good to go, or if anything needs work:

System
AMD Phenom(tm) 9500 Quad-Core Processor
Total amount of system memory 3.00 GB RAM
Display adapter type NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT
Total available graphics memory 1535 MB

Anyway, my computer would support 2nd monitor.

What can I expect in the way of performance? All in al, I'm quite happy with the system and think I could handle it, but feedback would certainly be appreciated.

Thanks.

Can My Computer Run +accounts?

This is by far the most asked Question Here. What I tell people,

Its hard for people to judge your system just by specs, to be honest all comps act in their own way. Best thing you can do is get trial accounts and try it for your self. I would like to add Recommended hardware you should have.

Wilbur:
Q6600 - Recommended Processor
4GB DDR2 PC6400 - Recommended RAM
8800GT 512MB(+) - Recommended Graphics Card
Good brand 500(+)watt Power supply.

Without the above you'll only be gimping yourself if you want to do a 5 in 1.

Get a bunch of trial accounts and see if it works.

Do a search for "trial accounts" if you don't know how to get trial accounts.

That video card will be a major problem... i don't know why companies even use it.. the 8600GTS is a HUGE GIANT UNREAL upgrade for like $100... i play 5 toons on one at work.. its not as good as a 8800.. but its VERY playable...

Massive overkill ?

get 4 gigs of memory.

Biggest affect will be what else yeh got running.

If yeh cant play 5+ wows with 50+ fps its not the hardware that needs tweaking.

So, since I don't have an extra monitor anymore (Apparently the one that's been sitting next to my computer for the past year is, in fact a toaster.) I opted to play 4 characters. My main account + 3 trial accounts.

Started everything up and inside of about 30 minutes of mostly just getting everything set up properly, I realized I like this so much I paid to have my accounts upgraded. I'm waiting on the upgrades now because I can't invite anyone into parties.

There's something awesome and terrible about 4 night elf hunters. Terrible in that they're night elves but awesome in that there are 4 of them. There's this one new character in the starting zone who keeps trying to duel me and I keep wanting to say "No! Fight all 4 of us or fight no one, dangit!"

Anyway... my FPS is decent. I think it can be tweaked a bit, but all in all, I'm really enjoying this.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, folks.
