Well I tried KOT rep. I read on the forums here that most 5box team are honored before level 70. I went there at lv 68 and was able to do most of the Taretha's Diversion quest, but I could not make it to Thrall in the basement there to actually get the rep and reward. I do not know how you can do KOT reliably before lv 70. I pulled too many mobs and even with earth and fire elements I was not able to do it so easily. Is KOT that hard or does my gear such that much?

I had trouble around lvl 66, but when I went back around 68-69, it was a lot easier. The only thing I can recommend is to kill casters first, then healers.

Did a full run at lvl 66, wasnt that hard ( Tho after more runs after it seemed i got lucky ), i killed the healer first , have grounding totems up. ones the healer is down you just pick up the mobs one by one.

Only grp i had a problem with was the dragon spawns in the Epoch hunter event. They have a curse 50% more dmg and 50% less healing and they just 1 shot me ><.

Couldn't you just kill trash and a boss up until honored?

i did the quest to start, it was fairly difficult doing the escort part where you are following thrall. He kept aggroing the next group before i was ready.

After i finished the quest (painful but i finally finished it after about 5 wipes total), I just repped up by doing the first boss over and over. Got maybe 500? or so, rep per run. I was also trying for the ring which i got eventually.

I've never done it myself, but from my understanding you can clear some/most/all of the mobs before you free him.

The key to thrall is taking it slow, and letting him tank one--and placing totems ahead before the next wave starts.

I did it with my prot tank at 70 and the 3 shamans were 66-67.
I would judge wisdom and use seal of wisdom to gain mana back without killing the last melee mob.
I would then move to the next staging area and drop my totems.
Kill the last mob and drink.

Thrall will usually run back to where he last agro and walk. This gave me time to drink up, and ready for the next pull--usually avenging shield and focus on caster. Do Earthshield and Heals on Thrall as needed.
