Tailoring a money maker?

I have tailoring on 2 of my chars. One is now at 300 and the other is at 280. I was wondering if I wasted time and money leveling this profession. Does it make sense to level the tailoring up to 375 so I can do shadow cloth and all that good stuff or is it not worth the time?

I have 7 charactes with 350+ spellcloth tailoring. I think I earn about 400g every 4th day just by buying mats and selling as spellcloth

If the cloth isn't selling, you could try selling the 20 slot bags. They sell for about 500g on my server.

Where do you get the 20 slot bag recipie from? As a 5man team I do not think I will be raiding at all :(

Do the specialization with 4 day cooldown.

If the cloth doesn't sell, change specializations to one that does.

Easy gold.

Tailoring is a good money make sure you take any of your extra cloth and make netherweave bracers and have them disenchanted.

Also if you have some time to grind, you can make the CE herbalism bag. It is the biggest herb bag in the game and nobody wants to grind that rep. So good for me. I make about 30-40 Gold PROFIT from each bag. I don't farm any mats, just buy from the AH. Plus people have extra cash to blow now. Here's the break down

Mooncloth(old kind) 10g max x 2

Ironweb Spidersilk 5g max x 4(usually pay like 3g)

Black Lotus 30g max, I used to get this for like 12g but server is going crazy

Bolt of Runcloth x6 about 6-8g

So this is a max cost of 78g I almost always pay less. I used to charge 85 gold per and only didn't sell one out of 20 in 48 hours. Now I charge 125g and sell out everytime. That's 45g with no cooldown. Granted you can only sell about 1-2 a day. This is highly dependent on Server economy. Just don't start cutting into my action on my server. :)

Use to make mooncloth + arcanite transmutes pre-bc. Made some damn good money on just 4 toons :)
